Ingredients : |
plain flour |
80 g |
baking powder |
1/4 tsp |
bicarbonate of soda |
1/8 tsp |
castor sugar |
40g |
oil |
1 tsp |
water |
2 to 2.5 tbsp |
oil (for deep frying) |

Method : |
1. Sieve flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda
together. |
2. Make a well in the centre. Add castor sugar and oil. |
3. Gradually add in water to form a soft dough. Knead gently
till smooth. |
4. Form the dough into a roll and divide into 12 equal
portions. Shape each portion into a ball. |
5. Bresh each ball with water and coat with white sesame
seeds. |
6. Heat oil. Deep fry the doughnuts in medium heat until
golden brown in colour. Serve hot or cold. |
