| Ingredients : | |
| plain flour | 80 g |
| baking powder | 1/4 tsp |
| bicarbonate of soda | 1/8 tsp |
| castor sugar | 40g |
| oil | 1 tsp |
| water | 2 to 2.5 tbsp |
| oil (for deep frying) | |
| Method : | |
| 1. Sieve flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda together. | |
| 2. Make a well in the centre. Add castor sugar and oil. | |
| 3. Gradually add in water to form a soft dough. Knead gently till smooth. | |
| 4. Form the dough into a roll and divide into 12 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball. | |
| 5. Bresh each ball with water and coat with white sesame seeds. | |
| 6. Heat oil. Deep fry the doughnuts in medium heat until golden brown in colour. Serve hot or cold. | |
