"Oh my gosh Kathy! Guess what???" I squealed out to my friend when she walked through my bedroom door. "What? Lemme guess you had a dream about you marrying Lance?" Kathleen said rolling her eyes. "No! I got tickets to a basketball match between North Carolina and the LA Lakers. I know for a fact that 'N Sync are gonna be there! Cause I made sure we got seats next to them!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed out loud as I jumped up and down on my bed. "Watch out for your... never mind..." Kathy warned as I hit my head on the fan on the ceiling. Thank God it was off. "Ouch!" I said as I stopped jumping. "You're such a blonde!" Kathy said laughing. "I'm not!! I have black hair!! See?" I said as I showed her my short black hair. "I know! But you're a crunchie! Dark on the outside and blonde on the inside!" Kathy said now laughing on the ground. "Shut up!" I said pouting. "Okay, I'm sorry." Kathy said as she stopped laughing but kept the smirk on her face. "It's okay. Anywayz, we gotta go shopping! Ya know, a new outfit and all." I said as I sat down on the bed. "Yeh, what kinda thing do you think we should wear?" Kathy said as she sat down on my bed too. "Uhmm, I dunno. Let me get some magazines." I said as I walked towards my drawer that was overflowing with magazines. "Here we go." I said as I showed her my collection of magazines. "Damn girl, when did you start collecting magazines?" she said shocked at how many magazines I have. "I dunno, a couple of years ago. But anywayz. I think I'm gonna go with a skirt and a nice top." I said as I flicked through one of my Dolly magazines. "Yeh, I think I'm gonna wear a skirt and top too." Kathy said as she looked at the magazines. "Oh my gosh, this outfit is sooo perfect!" I said after we were sitting on my bed for about 20 minutes. "Show me." she replied showing an interest. It was a knee length dark denim skirt with a white tanktop, red sketchers, and a white fishermans hat. "Well you've got the denim shirt, skirt, top, and hat so you just gotta buy the sketchers. But that outfit is really cool." Kathy said smilin, "Cool, have you found anything yet?" I asked as I looked over to her magazine." Yup, here." Kathy said as she handed me the magazine. There was a picture of a girl wearing a knee length stonewashed denim skirt with a baby blue tanktop with a pinkish-reddish rose in the middle and white strappy sandals. "That's really cool. You gotta wear something like that! After all your 'lover' Justin is gonna be there and his fave colour is baby blue." I said laughing and teasing her. "Oi! Lance is gonna be there too!" she replied blushing and defending herself. "Anywayz, do you wanna go shopping tomorrow? Like the city or sumthin?" I asked her, "Yup, hang on, my phone is ringing." Kathy said after her phone started ringing. "Hello? Hi mom! I'm at Ali's house. Yeh. Okay. Bye!" Kathy said into the phone while I tried to read between the lines. "Lemme guess. You gotta go home?" I said smiling after she got off the phone. "Yup. I'll seeya tomorrow at like 12 or sumthin?" Kathy said as she got up, "Yup, seeya tomorrow!" I said as I stayed on my bed while Kathy when home. I was so excited that night I could NOT sleep at all. I didn't sleep till like 2 in the morning.
I woke up around 10 and got ready to go out to the city. I was wearing my cream colourd knee length skirt with another white tanktop and my white sandals. "Mom, I'm going out to the city with Kathy! I got my phone so you can call me if you need to!" I said as I walked out the door. I caught the train there and met up with Kathy at Sportsgirls. "Kathy!" I said as I saw her waiting outside. "Hey! Come on! Let's go shopping!" Kathy said as we walked into Sportgirls. "Hmm...I gotta buy the shirt and skirt." Kathy said as she looked around. "FOUND IT!" she yelled from the other side of the store. "Geez girl, you don't have to scream!" I said laughing as I walked towards her. "Well I know you're deaf so I had to screamn." Kathy replied laughing. "Shut up! Lemme see the skirt." I said laughing. She showed me the skirt and it was exactly like the one in the magazine and the top was nearlly the same except the rose was pinky-red in the magazine and the one Kathy's got is blood red in colour. "Cool, now you just gotta try it on." I said as I shoved her towards the fitting room. After a couple of minutes waiting outside the fitting room I saw Kathy walking towards me. "Don't you think the skirt is a little short on me?" Kathy asked as she tugged on the skirt. "No, it's perfect! You know you got long legs!" I said laughing. "What about the top? Does it suit me?" she asked as she looked in the mirror. "Yeh! You gotta buy it." I said smiling. "Cool. Wait out here, I'm gonna go get changed again." she replied as she dissapeared back into the fitting room. I waited another couple of minutes until she finished getting changed and she paid for the clothes. "Okay, now where do you think I'm gonna find my shoes?" I asked as we stepped outside Sportsgirls, "What about Emporio?" she asked, "We can try, come on." I said as I ran towards the shop full speed, pulling Kathy along with me. "What the hell did you eat this morning to make you this psycho?" Kathy said out of breath from running so fast. "I ate nothing." I said laughing puffing along with her. "And you still can run like that? Geez." she said laughing. "Okay, we havta find my red sketchers." I said as I walked down the aisle. "I think I found it." I said as I grabbed the red sketchers. "Cool, after this we can check out the guys." Kathy said laughing as I asked the lady for my size. "You're so obsessed." I said laughing as I waited for the lady to come back with my shoes. "Cool, thanks." I said thanking the lady and smiling. "Does it fit okay?" she asked me, "Yeh, it fits perfectly." I said as I walked around. "Are you taking that then?" the lady asked smiling. "Yup." I said smiling as I took the shoes off. "Thanks." the lady said as we walked towards the cash register. After I paid for the shoes we went to grab some lunch and checked out the guys. "So when is this basketball game?" Kathy asked as we saw one cute guy walk past. "It's on this weekend." I said as I checked out his butt. "Ali!!!! You alwayz go for the butt don't you?" Kathy said laughing. "Yup, I'm an ass girl." I said laughing. "Ohh crap. I gtg Kathy. I'm supposed to meet my mom like right now in the parking lot. I'll call you tonight." I said as I hugged her bye. "Yup, seeya." she said as she waved goodbye to me. |
