The next day I woke up from my phone ringing at 9 in the morning. "Hello?" I said sleepily into my phone, "Good morning sunshine!!!!!" I heard Kathy say chirpily, "Don't you be so damn cheerful to me and don't call me sunshine!!!! Do you know what time it is??" I said into the phone as I fell back onto my pillow. "Yeh, it's 9. And you gotta wake up cause you got a date with Lance." Kathy said laughing. "How did you know about that?" I asked confused. "Justin told me. He said Lance couldn't keep his mouth shut about you." Kathy said laughing. "Awww really?" I gushed as I sat up quickly, "Yeh, now get up. I'm like 5 minutes from your house. I'm helping you choose your outfit for tonight." Kathy said. "Uhmmm...okay...I better go then." I said as I jumped out of bed. "Okay. Seeya." Kathy said as she hung up. After I hung up the phone I had a quick shower and got changed. Just when I finished brushing my hair I heard the doorbell ring. "Hey." I said as I opened the door to see Kathy smiling. "Hey! I'm so excited for you! I'm like pissing my pants at the moment." Kathy said as we ran up the stairs into my room. "Kathy!!! It's not even you that's goin on the date." I said laughing as I opened my cupboard door. We both decided I should wear a camel coloured knee length skirt with a white silk halter top and some strappy high heels. "Now whatcha gonna do about your make-up?" Kathy asked as she looked at me, "I dunno, normal I guess. Lip gloss, mascara and a touch of shimmer." I said laughing. "Okat, that's cool." Kathy said, "Crap, do you know it's already 5?" I said as I looked at my bedside clock. "Is it? I better go leave ya to get ready." Kathy said as she got off my bed. "Ohhhh okay, wish me luck." I said as I hugged her bye. "Yup, you go and get em tiger! Call me if you need anything." Kathy said as she smiled at me. "Yup, seeya." I said as Kathy walked out of my room and I ran towards the bathroom. It took be about half an hour to get ready. At 5:45 somebody rang the doorbell. I jumped about 10 ft up in the air, grabbed my bag and answered the door. "Hey." I said as I opened the door. "Hey, you look beautiful. This is for you." Lance said smiling as he handed me a single red rose and kissed my cheeks. "Thank you." I said blushing and smiling. "Are ya ready to go?" he asked, "Yeh, hang on, just lemme lock the door." I said as I locked the doors. After I locked the door we went over to his car. He was so sweet he ran over to my side to open the door for me before I had the chance to even touch the door handle. "Thanks." I said smiling as I climbed in. "So...uhmm...where are we goin?" I asked shyly, "Well whatever ya wanna do. Ya wanna go to the movies then catcha bite to eat?" Lance asked, "Yeh, that sounds cool." I said smiling. "What's new at the movies?" Lance asked as he changes direction to go to the cinema, "Well, ya wanna see American Pie 2?" I asked. "Yeh, heard that was hilarious." Lance said laughing.
When we got to the cinema Lance put on his sunnies and fisherman's hat on. "May I say you look smashing!" I said in an fake English accent while I pointed at his hate and sunnies. "I know, nice disguise isn't it?" he said laughing. "If that's what you think." I said laughing. "Ohh I left my purse in the car." I said as I realised I left my whole handbag in the car. 'Well there goes the thought of updating Kathy on the date during the movie in the ladies room' I thought to myself. "It’s cool. Even if your purse is here you're ain’t paying for anything tonight. I'm a gentleman." Lance said laughing as he pulled on his collar and put on a fake conceited smile as he paid for everything. “Thanks. And yes you are quite the gentleman aren’t you.” I said laughing. “Wait here, I’ll go get us some food.” Lance said smiling. “Okay.” I said as I sat down on a nearby couch. When he came back he handed me a bottle of mountain dew. “Here, these are your favourites right?” Lance said smiling. “Yup.” I said smiling. “See, I’m just psychic.” Lance said laughing. “No, you ain’t psychic, you cheated!” I said laughing as we started making our way towards the theatre. We sat on the last row middle since we came early. We just totally goofed off, talking and laughing while we waited for the movie to come on. “Ohh look! The movie’s starting.” I said as smiling. “Cool.” Lance said as we started watching the movie. 1/4 through the movie I leaned over to him and said, “You wanna chuck some popcorn at people?” with an evil smirk on my face. “Are you serious?” he asked, “Yeh, it’s fun.” I said smiling. “Hell yeh! Let’s choose a target.” he said laughing. “Why did you look so suprised? Don’t you chuck popcorn at people when you go to the movies?” I said as I looked around for couples. “Yeh, I wanted to but my ex wouldn’t let me. She thought it was too immature. Ohh I found a couple. They’re on the left. A couple of rows down from us.” Lance said as he grabbed some popcorn. “Are you kidding me? This ain’t immature, this is fun.” I said laughing as I got some popcorn in my hands myself. “I know! 1...2...3...throw!” Lance said as he chucked the popcorn and we both dropped to the ground to hide. “Hey, who chucked that!” we heard someone yell out. We giggled, (well I giggled and Lance laughed) and when we were sure they weren’t looking towards us we sat back up on our seats. “Let’s choose a different couple this time.” I said as I grabbed more popcorn and chucked it but this time we weren’t so lucky and the couple reported us to the people working there. “Okay who’s chucking popcorn in here!” we heard a booming voice said. “Shit, what are we gonna do? We can’t bob down, he’ll check here.” Lance said panicking. “Kiss me.” I said, half whispering. “What?” he asked suprised, his voice suddenly sounded like Chris's. “I said, kiss me!” I said as I grabbed his shirt, pulled him towards me and started kissing him. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and I saw a security guard there. “May I help you?” I asked acting very pissed off, “Did you see anyone chucking popcorn?” he asked, “Well, no. As you can see I was too busy with something else.” I said winking at the guard. “Oh...well I’ll let you get back to that.” the guard said stuttering. “Thank you.” I said smiling as I started kissing Lance again. “Is he gone yet?” I asked Lance against his lips. “Nope, I dont think he is.” Lance said smiling, “But we’ve been kissing for like 10 minutes now.” I said still kissing him, “I dunno.” Lance said kissing me back. “I’ll check myself.” I said as I stopped kissing him and looked around. “He’s gone.” I said as I sat back onto my seat. “Oh...” Lance said still smiling. After a couple of minutes I felt him crept his hands around my hand. I just smiled to myself and kept on watching the movie. |
