2. Ole2 Larsen (Lars1(--?--)); m. Ronnoug/ Anne (--?--).

The name of Ole Larsen is an assumption by the researcher based on his knowledge of Norwegian naming patterns. His son, Lars Olsen, has the second name of Olsen which means that Ole is the first name of his father. Lars Olsen b. about 1753 (see Generation Three) named his second born son, Ole, the name of Lars' father. Normally the first born son would be named after the father's father but in this family the first born son, Torger, was named after the mother's father. There are exceptions to the rule and reasons for those exceptions.

Ronnoug/ Anne (--?--) Ole Larsen's (see 2 above) wife and Lars Olsen's (see Generation Three) mother may have been named Anne or Ronnoug. This is using information from the Norwegian naming patterns in which the first daughter born to the marriage was normally named after the father's mother. However in this family, the first born son was named after the name of the mother's father, therefore, the first born daughter may have been named after the mother's mother.

Children of Ole2 Larsen and Ronnoug/ Anne (--?--) were:

Torger (?)

Torger (?) would have been the father of Marit Torgersdatter and if they followed the Norwegian naming practice her mother would have been named either Ronnoug or Anne. This would depend upon whether the first daughter born to Lars Olsen and Marit Torgersdatter was named after her father's mother or named after her mother's mother. In any case no research data has been found to confirm these assumptions.
