Fox Harbour Community Museum
The Fox Harbour Community Museum, the culmination of a long term dream was officially opened on August 25, 2000.  This was the 73rd anniversary of the loss of the fishing schooner Annie Healy with its 7 member crew, all from Fox Harbour.  Featured among the many exhibits was a model of the Annie Healy, artifacts- a cannon, business papers from the Healy family who owned the Annie.  Displayed in a special place of prominence was a picture of Annie Healy, the boat's namesake and daughter of Richard K. Healy loaned to us by her son Thomas Furlong.  In attendance were members of the families of the deceased crewmen, as well as members of the Healy/Furlong families.

The many displays depicting Fox Harbour Now and Then, the School, the Church, the Fishery, the  American presence all gave an insight into the lift of Fox Harbour in days gone by.
The museum, the realization of a dream is the product of the hard work of many people- town council who provided the space with light and heat; those who worked at the planning and preparation; people from seniors to teenagers who dropped by to lend a hand; the people of the community who looked in their boxes and trunks and found items that could be of use to the museum. A truly community effort.
