Krispy Katie's Potaties
Our terriers love snacks, so after some experimentation we started making our own with an emphasis on keeping them natural and crunchy.
Katie is our Smooth Fox Terrier that we got through Rescue. We call her "Katie The Couch Potatie" and that sounded like a good name for the treats she loves so much.

Krispy Katie's Potaties have no preservatives, artificial flavors, corn or wheat gluten or alien DNA. Because they are made from JUST yams and a little sea kelp, they are ideal for dogs with allergies. Our snacks are hand made in small batches and there are usually more than 50* treats of varying sizes per 6 oz. bag.

Fun Fact: Our Yams are actually Sweet Potatoes. In the USA there are no true yams and all tubers of these sorts are forms of the sweet potato. We buy the darker-skinned variety with a vivid orange sweet flesh.

Yams are a good source of dietary fiber, rich in beta-carotene (Vitamin A) and vitamin C, plus vitamin B6, as well as the minerals manganese, copper, potassium & iron.

Why Sea Kelp? First, because plain snacks are a little boring and we wanted to jazz them up a bit. But seriously, kelp is rich in essential minerals, trace elements, amino acids and vitamins. Research suggests it helps to enhance the coat, maintain and support thyroid function, reduce skin problems, boost the immune system and it's all 100% natural and certified organic. So, why not add Sea Kelp?

Fun Fact: It takes nearly 2 pounds of yams to make one 6 ounce of these snacks.

we'd love to talk about arranagments that would be mutely beneficial to both of us.

*The actual count can vary a little depending on the size of the yams we use for each batch.
The average of 50 plus is from the average larger sized yams, but sometimes we use smaller (more pieces),
sometimes we use jumbo yams (larger, fewer pieces).
You will get 6 ounces one way or another and if the large pieces are a bit too big for your dog,
just have a bit of fun yourself and snap them into smaller pieces. Who says the dogs get all the fun?!
