Notes for James THURTELL
The IGI (Batch C044461, Serial 1941) shows James Thurtle, son of John
Thurtle and Alice, was christened March 10, 1711, at St. Julian, Norwich,
Norfolk, England. He was mentioned in his father's will in 1729, by
which he was left one guinea of gold. His mother, in her will in 1735,
left him "one feather bed with the bedstead and other things belonging
thereof as it is now standing in the cellar, and a copper now in the
cellar."
