Snakes - The Home Page
|

|
I don't believe that there could ever be an absolute list of the top ten deadliest snakes that everyone could agree on. I do agree with Dr. Bryan Grieg Fry when he says " The debate of what are the most venomous snakes is one that occupies a disproportionate amount of time, it is of course purely academic... dead is dead.".
Keeping that thought in mind I feel this list is as good as any, but should not be taken as scientific fact, but more for the sake of argument. The site does not contain as much information as I would like and I will update each "snake" page as I have time and I learn more.
The site consists of five parts. It starts with the Home Page which is followed by a General Information Page. We move on to the Gallery Page with links to a page for each of the ten snakes on our list and the site continues on with information about snake bites on the First-Aid Page. A "links" page follows which list all of the sources used in gathering information for this site, and we finish with the Snake Test page.
This is not a "for-profit" site. We do not collect information on visitors or exchange email addresses with anyone. Email and comments we receive are used purely to correct errors on the site and to make it better. Also, I hold no copyrights to the information or snake pictures listed here. Permission to use the pictures or information in a "profit" mode must be made by contacting the respective owner. If you link to this site we would appreciate it if you linked to the "Snake Home" page.
This site is the combination of an interest in snakes and a school project. Please do not confuse me with someone who is an expert on snakes. I have an affection for snakes and have made every effort to ensure that the information I have listed here is accurate and complete. This site is meant to entertain and inform, but I humbly yield to the experts on the details and no information here should be taken as indisputable fact. New things are learned about snakes everyday somewhere in the world and when that happens our data could be a step behind. As I discover informational lags or I am informed of problems or concerns I will update our data accordingly.
