CHAPTER 1

- Really? Nick looked at him, but how about LeighAnne?

- I know, Brian shook his head, I really don't know what's wrong with me.

- So, this girl, is she pretty?

- Yeah, very pretty.

- Prettier than LeighAnne?

- No, or yes. Pretty in another way. That doesn't really matter, I like her.

- I really think you do more than like her, Nick smiled, otherwise you wouldn't be thinking about it like this.

- Well Annie and me, there's nothing there anymore. I mean, I love her but I'm not in love with her.

- How are you gonna break it to her?

- The only way I can, I have to tell her face to face but... I really don't know how to say it without hurting her.

- So this Julia really is nice then, hu?

- Yeah, she's really nice, she's smart and... I think I've fallen in love with her.

- I kind of thought you might have. Redhead?

- Yeah...

- At least you know your weaknesses, smiled Nick.

- She got these brown eyes, they are just amazing, there's like something magical about them, and she got these cute freckles.

- How old?

- 19, Brian smiled, she treats me like a normal person too. I mean, LeighAnne does that but...

- Somebody really is in love.

- I guess so... You know how serious Annie can be?

- Yeah.

- She just seems to be like a child.

- Like you?

- I'd rather say like us.

- I guess that's true.

- Do you think I can take a plane or something to Annie? I'd feel like such a creep if I didn't tell it to her face.

- You got like... ten days.

- Good, I really wish it had been in another way but...

- Stop being so regretful, you've found a girl you love and who treats you nice, right?

- Right.

- So, what's the problem. People breaks up all the time, she'll understand, just leave the part about Julia out.

- No, I'm going to tell her everything. Sometimes I think that you don't understand that I got something between my ears.

- Nope, it's normally the other way around.

- No, I know you don't got anything inside that melon on your neck that you call head.

- Thanks a lot, said Nick playing hurt.

CHAPTER 2

--- Two days later ---

- I really think she hates me, said Brian and laid down at the bed beside Nick.

- What happened?

- She took it really well, but she got sad, I could see that. I let her keep Tyke.

- But you really loved that dog...

- Yeah, but so does she and well... I'm the one leaving her so I really couldn't take him away from her too, besides, how am I supposed to take care of him when we're on tour?

- Good point, what happens next?

- I'm going to meet Julia in two hours.

- That's fast.

- Well, Annie was kind of a long time relationship and still a rebound.

- I kind of thought that Julia would be your rebound, Nick looked at Brian.

- No, at least I don't think that it would be like that. I hope not, I really like her.

- No, you don't like her, you love her, otherwise it wouldn't be like this.

- Nick?

- Yes.

- Did aliens kidnap you today?

- What?

- Your IQ seems to have gone from 0 to at least 60.

- Who taught you that one?

- Julia, I kind of met her twice that night.

- And why didn't you tell me?

- Cause you'd become really annoying with your questions.

- I wasn't goint to ask you anything, just...

- Just?

- Never mind that, I won't ask, satisfied?

- Very.

- Julia? Brian knocked at her door.

- Yeah? She smiled and opened, Hi Brian, come in.

- Thanks, he smiled and stepped in, you know your cat really doesn't like me...

A black cat ran in before Julia closed the door. She picked him up.

- No, Sirocco have you been mean to Brian?

- Just by attacking me, nothing more...

- Sicco, she said a bit angry, didn't I tell you to be nice to B.?

The cat turned around in her grip.

- Behave, or else you can go out again, she said and let him down, what?

- Hu?

- You look like you've never seen anyone talk to an animal before, she smiled.

- Nah, it's just that you kind of talked with him like he'd understand you.

- He does, she smiled.

- He understands you? Brian followed her in to the living room.

- Yeah, he is my familiar, I think he understands, he just doesn't like that anyone else gets my attention.

- Your familiar?

- Yeah, as in witch cat, she smiled.

- You're a witch?

- Yes.

- Why didn't you tell me?

- Because I kind of thought that my religion is irrelevant right now...

- Well, witchcraft is...

- Wrong?

- Yeah.

- It isn't. It's a religion and nothing else, like you believe in God I believe in the God and the Goddess.

- The God and the Goddess?

- Yeah, the male and female sides of the All.

- Maybe I should leave.

- Brian now you're being silly, sit down and we'll talk about it.

- I don't think that's such a good idea.

- So you are going to leave because I'm a witch?

- No it's just...

- Okay, if you got a problem with that then leave, I'm not going to stop you. It's your lost.

- Bye.

- Bye B.

He went outside and stopped right outside the door. He could feel that she was looking at him, he turned around and saw her looking at him through the window holding Sirocco. He stepped back and left. He could tell that she'd been hurt but... a witch... She just as well could have hexed him or something... He went over to the car and left.

CHAPTER 3

- I thought you really liked her, said Nick surprised.

- I do, but she's a witch.

- Like in "The Charmed ones"?

- How am I supposed to know that?

- Well, since you left her I thought that you might just have found out something scary about it. Like demons and stuff...

- I really didn't ask her about it I just left...

- You are in love with her and you leave without even asking her about it?

- I know it was stupid, but what if she puts a curse on me or something?

- I think that if she would have she'd already done that by now... Even I think that that was insensitive.

- A witch Nick! A witch!

- She said it was a religion right?

- Well, yeah, but witchcraft... it's wrong, I mean sure...

- Shut up B-ROK you will only sound more stupid than you are if you go on like that.

--- Three days later (Halloween)---

- Well A.J., smiled Julia, what do you think?

- You look great, he smiled.

She was wearing a really tight black dress that got wider around the hands and from her kneew and down. A black witch hat and Sirocco made it perfect.

He was wearing a devil-costume, simple and not to tight.

- No broom?

- No broom, you look devilicious!

- Thanks, he smiled as she stepped in to the car with her hat and Sirocco in her hands.

- Is Brian going to be there?

- I don't know, he lied.

This Halloween-party that Nick was having on a rented boat for the guys, their girlfriends, friends and families was especially made to make Brian and Julia to talk again.

- I feel really silly, she said after a while and petted Sirocco.

- Well, you look great anyway, look at me! Just wait until Nick is going to force me to start these horns...

- They blink don't they?

- Yeah, and that you ain't going to notice... especially not when it gets dark.

- And you don't like the attention then?

- Okay, I do, he smiled, but you are going to draw attention with that dress, is that a push-up bra you got underneath?

- It is but you are not the one to ask that kind of questions you know.

- Sorry, I just... It kind of shows...

- The bra?

- No, that it is a push-up, if you push them up higher you will have to push them down to see...

- Good, she smiled, I won't mind to get the attention...

- And how am I going to survive then? You either take that bra of of I have to do it myself.

- And how is it going with your girlfriend?

- Sorry, we've broke up a couple of weeks ago.

- Sorry.

- I've got over it, it was more like a flirt anyway...

- So, she smiled and looked at his profile, then you're free...

- Yeah, and we'd make a great couple, you with that push up and me with blinking horns, and the stage will be ours!

- You can't leave my bra alone can you?

- Nah, he smiled, you do know that there's going to be kids there...

- So? They can look at Sicco if they want to, right Sicco?

- You think he understands?

- The same thing B. asked me... He's my familiar and yes I do think that he understand... I think he likes you.

- He likes me?

- Yeah, as in he won't put his claws in your legs for looking at me. He's really jealous.

- He sould be, with such a beautiful owner.

- Well somebody had forgotten that he is supposed to be heartbroken right now, she smiled.

CHAPTER 4

The night passed on until she saw him, their eyes met and they both thought the same thing.

- What are you doing here, she said and looked at him.

- I was just about to ask you the same thing.

- Okay, A.J. drew me here, and how about...

She picked up Sirocco before he attacked Brian.

- ...you?

- Kevin...

- Okay, I'm going to leave Sicco at my room, if you don't mind.

- I don't, I think I need to take a little break myself.

- Fine.

- Fine.

They both headed at the same direction and when Julia opened the door to her room Brian starred at her.

- That's my room!

- No, this is number 16, my room.

- I have room number 16!

- Okay.

- This is so not a fix up...

- Well maybe we need to talk, she left Sirocco in the room and closed the door.

- I really don't think...

- Stop being silly, she muttered and pulled him with her.

When they got outside they finally were alone.

- Tell me, she said and looked him in his eyes, what is so wrong about witchcraft?

- It's wrong, it's black magic, it's sacrifices and stuff, it is wrong!

- You can't use withe magic without some black magic, there are no sacrifices at all, exept for fruit and cookies and other stuff, no living or meat. It's not wrong. What is wrong is that Christianity burned, and still do, so called witches, or they just were satisfied with hanging them or just use a guillotine. Some of those who were classified as witches were witches but the majority was humans that were to pretty, to ugly or something else that people had a problem with.

Brian didn't say anything.

- Those who really were witches hadn't done anything wrong, being a witch is about taking care of the environment, we don't hurt people. We have one important rule "If it harm none do as you will", that includes yourself and animals... and then there's the "three-fold rule", everything you do comes back three times as power full, good and bad.

- I...

- Didn't know?

- Yeah.

- Thought so. I don't think that any religion is wrong, it's just that witchcraft is my path.

- I'm sorry, if I would have known...

- I know, but you could have asked. But I understand, many of my ex's have had problems when I told them that I was a witch.

- But won't it be a problem with me being a Baptist?

- No, I won't force you to do anything with witchcraft if you don't force me to go to church and stuff.

- Promise?

- Promise, she hugged him, now we only have one problem.

- What's that?

- Sicco don't like that you get my attention, she smiled.

He smiled and kissed her. This was something that would last, he knew it.

THE END!!!!!!!!
