You have just read Chapter 5, in which Govind anounces that he will be going to England. Imagine his feelings and the reactions of his family members.
You are part of a group which must pretend to be one of the characters below. (Your teacher will tell you who.) Think about your character; read what Chapter 5 says about your character; make notes.
Later in the lesson, other students will ask you questions. (For example, they might ask Govind, "Don't you think you are very unfair to your wife, leaving her all alone for so long?" Or they might ask Jhoti, "Why don't you just run away?") You need to be prepared for any question!
After making notes about your own character, write down questions to ask the other characters. Later, of course, you may think of extra questions to ask.
