Inserting accented letters

To insert an accented letter when using some of the interactive exercises below, the following Windows system can be used:

* Ensure that 'Num Lock' is switched on on the Numerical Keypad on the right hand side of the Keyboard.

* Hold down the ALT key (to the left of the space bar) and type the codes below, on the Numerical Keypad. (NOT using the numbers at the top of the keyboard)

* Release the ALT key.

You may find it useful to highlight and print out the panel below and keep it in your exercise book for future reference.
