187. Denzil Leroy Cooper "Dod"-93
Dod was a farmer a few miles south of Brampton all his life. They had dairy cattle and chickens. They also grain farm with the help of Larry who lives with them. Shirley was nine when Doris and Dod were married and was happy when Denny and Karen arrived to keep her company. She lives in Britton, South Dakota, now.
191. Theodore Stanley (Ted) Stout-103
According to Ginger's book. "Ted attended Sargent County schools and after graduation he managed the Cooper Sote in Brampton. Here he met and married the new shcool teacher. Rhoda and Ted were married at the Lutheran parsonage with Ada Severson and Arthur Roberts (later they married) as witnesses. A drought struck the area bringing hard times. Ted helped his dad on the farm and Rhoda continued her teaching, between babies, and was soon appointed Sargent County Superintendant of Schools. Ted had enlisted in the Navy and saw four and a half years of duty in Africa, Italy and Panama. Upon his discharge he became rural mail carrier out of cogswell, retiring in 1973 after seventeen plus years of service. Rhoda taught in Havana while Terence and Sheila were in school there. In 1951 she became the High School Principal at Oakes. After fifteen years she retired with forty years of teaching to her credit. They moved to Litchville to be near their daughter and her family."
