According to Ginger's book, "Dewey traveled to Brampton when he was seventeen and lived with Ada and Charlie for a year. He shared a room with Swede and they became good buddies. He married Iva on one of Roosevelt's Thanksgivings and they operated a furnace business in Belvidere for a number of years. When I was yound they owned the Patton House in Belvidere which was a landmark mansion featuring many rooms and marble fireplaces. On August 2, 1954 they adopted three babies, who all arrived onthe same day! Lisa in the forenoon and Julie and Jennifer in the evening. They then lived in Rockford where Dewey was employed at a small machine specialty shop. Dewey died in 1978."
