Differential diagnoses

Borecus
Claw varied but never globular. Dens dorsally with 2 rows of large feathered setae (fig.4a). Head less than 2 times as long as distance from dorsum to tip of buccal cone (fig.2b). Males without lateral projection on second antennal segment.

Calobatinus
Claw varied but never globular. Head more than 2 as long as distance from dorsum to tip of buccal cone (fig.2a).

Cephalophilus 2
Claw varied but never globular. Dens dorsally with scales and normal setae (fig.4b). Head less than 2 times as long as distance from dorsum to tip of buccal cone (fig.2b). Males without lateral projection on second antennal segment. Mandibles present with or without molar plate. Mouth cone projecting downward (fig.7c&d). Mucro long with two or more dorsally projecting teeth (fig.8a). Unguis without filamentous projection on inner teeth. Unguis apical teeth at most 3.

Cyphoderinus
