Remark by Dányi, L. & Traser, G. 2008:22: According to Dunger (1975) the early Hungarian data of Kalaphorura burmeisteri could include Kalaphorura paradoxus (Schäffer, 1900) as well.

Remark by Dányi, L. & Traser, G. 2008:21: Hymenaphorura dentifera (Stach, 1934) is a "species inquirenda according to Gisin (1960)". [Janssens, F., 2008.11.17: Contrary to what Dányi & Traser (2008:21) claim, Gisin (1960:151) refers to fimetarius var. dentifera Kos, 1939, not to sibiricus f. dentifera Stach, 1934. And the first is considered as a species dubia by Gisin (1960:151), not as species inquirenda.]
Remark by Pomorski, R.J. & Steinmann, D. 2004:26: The tribe Hymenaphorurini probably also comprises the genus Probolaphorura, but it needs redescription.

Remark by Folsom, J.W. 1919:6A: Pseudocelli of antennal bases 6+6 (two specimens) or 5+5 (one specimen).
Remark by Hammer, M. 1953:36-37: In specimens from Northern Canada, the number of pseudocelli at the antennal base of Onychiurus 12-punctatus(sic) varies between 4 to 6. Of 23 specimens, 10 were found with 4+4, 11 with 5+5, 1 with 6+6 and 1 with a bilateral asymmetric number of 5+4 pseudocelli.
Remark by Janssens, F. 2008.08.15: Given the description of 'decimpunctatus Skidmore, 1995:53' is lacking it is a nomen nudum, therefore an invalid name. The name implicitly refers to specimens of duodecimpunctatus having 5 pseudocelli at the antennal base in steadt of the 6 pseudocelli of the nominal form. Such specimens are considered to be an intraspecific variation of duodecimpunctatus. Therefore, 'decimpunctatus Skidmore, 1995:53' is a partial junior synonym of duodecimpunctatus Folsom, 1919:6A.
