Elisabeth in Hungary
Elisabeth was played by Monica Safar (right) and Kata Janza. The original Budapest 'Elisabeth' closed in May 1998, and the last performance by the Hungarian cast was at the Szeged Festival in August 1998. However there have been some revival perfomances, and in September 2004 five performances took place with Kata Janza (as Sisi) and Szilveszeter Szabó (as Death) at the Theatre Operett. |
In Hungary, ELISABETH was produced as an open air spectacle
at the Szeged Festival, opening on August 17, 1996. A Hungarian stage production opened in
Budapest on November 15, 1996.
