Lazulite veinlets - Freßnitzgraben, Krieglach,
Styria, Austria
Description: Quartz-rich muscovite-rutile schist with two
slightly discordant lazulite-quartz veinlets. Lazulite is partly altered
to white kaolinite
and crandallite-goyazite at the rims. The sample, including the lazulite-bearing
veinlet, is crosscut by a less than 1 mm wide, discontious veinlet
filled with dark grey apatite (at the center from top to bottom).
Locality: Wegscheidkreuz, Freßnitzgraben, Krieglach, Fischbacher
Alpen, Styria, Austria.
