Kyanite after andalusite(?) in lazulite -
Mürztal, Styria, Austria

chlorite-filled cracks. At the bottom grey apatite.
The white lens at the top of the sample consists of kyanite + some muscovite,
both possibly replacing former andalusite?
In contrast to host rock "xenoliths", this kyanite-rich aggregate does
not contain any rutile or zircon.
Locality: Gravel pit, Hönigsberg, Mürztal, Styria,
Austria.
