that seat has found someone
to occupy it
who is wondering the same
thing
of another seat
siginicant in their life

or another person
willing
to give up
their seat
for them
as well

or someone who has
changed their lives
in someway
profound

here's hoping
many things

that i find my stop

here's hoping
that I do 
one day
find a
seat on the bus

here's hoping
that I do find
someone
willing
to give up
their seat
for me

here's hoping
that the opportunity
for me
to become
that someone
to give up the seat
for another
will come around
soon
to be that someone
who other people
will wonder about
as i do
about
who gave up their seat for me

here's hoping
here's to peace
the next stop
and the future
of buses
everywhere
the seats they provide
and the stories they tell
