crashdown

Last Thursday I got an email from someone calling themselves RIP. Kind fo cheesy in my view but hey I'm calling myself Freak_O_Pedia, so what room do I have to speak. Anyway he sent me an email explaining to me of a certain bizaar cafe dealing around UFO's. Personally, I don't find that strange but what he said about the upstairs windows and what he keep seeing is a little interesting. Here's his email for you all to read, then I'll finish with what I found.

Hey I love the site, glad to see someone caring on Adam & Derek's work. Well the reason I'm writing because I got a freaky story for you. I live in a small town Covina, Ca. and work downtown at the local skate shop.
Several months ago I showed to work (after a weekend in San Diago watching the X-games) and there was a new coffee cafe where an italian restrant used to be. I thought it was cool at first but then I started wondering, how did they a new front to the place in just a weekend? There was now a flying saucer attached to the building.
During my lunch break I went over to check it out. Well the front doors were locked so I figured they just hadn't open it yet. So I went off somewhere else for lunch, and as I was coming back I noticed two guys were coming coming out and locking the front doors to the cafe. As I looked closer I noticed the two guys were twins.
Weeks went by and the cafe still never opened up. Then one night I was closing late, after a long day of counting and restocking invatory, and saw strangecolored lights coming from the windows above the cafe. It was a pulsing blue-ish/green light and it gave me the creeps so I went home.
Over the next few weeks I started to see those two guys (the twins) coming and going from the cafe, yet it still never opened.
Then one night about a month ago I was going through the Freaky Links website and going over old stories when I came across one about a coffe shop in Los Angeles. BAM, there they were, the twins, right in the little video clip Derek had.
So the next time I saw those twins leave the cafe I followed them. It didn't take long to find out where they were going and it freaked the hell out of me. Right where the old bingo hall used to be was now a UFO Center. I've lived here 25 years and nothing like that has ever been here. I really have no idea what is going on but I wanted to pass on what I've found. I'm going to keep watching the place and if I find out more I'll let you know.

RIP

Well to say the least I was interested and since I'm also in California I looked up the town and took a drive out to it this past weekend to investagate the things in RIP's email. Once there I headed for downtown and the cafe was easy enough to find. Just as RIP said it had a flying saucer in the front of it. The place was called Crashdown Cafe and from the front looked pretty normal. I checked the front doors and they were locked with shades pulled over all the windows. I looked across the street and saw the skate shop down a little bit. I went down to see if I could talk to this RIP guy or at least find out who he is. You know when you walk in to a store and ask if RIP is there you do get a few strange looks. But anyway I found out that he was out for the weekend snowboarding and wouldn't be back till Monday.
As I was walking back to my car which I parked over by the cafe I looked up at the windows and for a quick second saw someone looking out. I can saw if they were looking out at me or just looking out but it made me stop in my tracks. Unfortunatly, as soon as I could get my camera up and take a picture they were no longer in the window.
Anyway I drove around a little bit and found the other strange spot RIP had talked about. I have to honestly say I've never seen an UFO center before, but sure enough there it was also. Cars where parked in it's parking lot but it's front doors were locked and it's windows were covers also. To be honest I don't know what it all means but I do know those places are there.
I stayed around for awhile in hopes to see the strange light or even better the twins but after 12 hours nothing. So at that point I headed home. I'm going to try and contact RIP and set it up to go back to check things out further.
