The Society Of The Crystal Skulls
Interview addapted from Q&A page the SOTCS webpage by Freak_O_Pedia
FOP: What are Crystal Skulls?

SOCS: A Crystal skull is a stylized carving of a human skull. It can be any size. Clear rock quartz crystal is the most common medium for those found in ruins but they also come in amethyst, rose quartz, smoky quartz, alabaster, topaz, moonstone, tourmaline, ametrine, citrine, Sapphire, agate and just about any other stone you can name. Those the size of a human skull are of most interest.

FOP: What is so special about them?

SOCS: It all depends on your point of view. A human sized skull fashioned from quartz crystal is intriguing from many angles. The fact that some are found in tombs is interesting from an archeological standpoint. The medium is interesting because of the metaphysical properties associated with crystals and stones. From an artists stand point, they are beautiful to behold because of the craftmanship involved and the type of tools it took to create the ancient skulls. At a time in history when stone pyramids were being constructed and human sacrifices were considered spiritual, crystal skulls were being carved. The primary question is why?

FOP: Then I do have to ask WHY?

SOCS: Exactly what that might be is under consideration. All we have at the moment is a collection of theories and beliefs. Because they are found in tombs, the assumption is they have some religious significance. One theory states tribal shaman used them to control events within the community.

Traveling across their site Case Wright steered my attention to a finding of the
Jadeite Skeleton.
This artifact comes from the China/Mongolia region. It's thought to be dated from Neolithic period, around 2200 to 3500 BC. The markings on the top of the head of the skeleton is similar to that found on relics from the Liangzhu period. This mark has been found on many relics, such that of a shaman's mask.

Case Wright wrote to Kirby Seid the person reporting the skeleton on the SOCS's webpage. He asked them about obtaining more information about the skeleton, fearing that the skeleton might be a hoax. Kirby Seid wrote back claiming  he had more information on the skeleton but not organized so he couldn't give any references. Also, that the skeleton is being examined by archaeologists and psychometrics.
Without further information upon the skeleton it leaves it still a large mystery. So I'm turning to you freakers to see if you can find more information about this supposed ancient skeleton. Is it true or is it a hoax?
