Mamoru's Story

A long time ago, the universe was at peace. Queen Serenity ruled the moon, and Prince Endymion of Earth ruled the earth. Queen Serenity's daughter, Princess Serenity became engaged to Endymion. They were in love and everyone was happy. But reality soon struck, followed by the destruction of the moon. Serenity and Endymion soon had to part due to fear of spies and the safety of the Princess. After receiving a star locket from his beloved during a secret meeting, Endymion went off to battle Queen Beryl's evil forces. Serenity could do nothing but watch her lover be sucked into the evil, twisted energy of the Negaverse. Serenity ran after him, only wanting to be with him. Both lovers perished. But Queen Serenity brought them back to life with the price of her own. She used her most powerful weapon, the Silver Imperium Crystal, and with the last of her strength she sent the entire court of the princess, the young lovers, and all the evil down to Earth, where she hoped they could find peace.

On Earth, Endymion was reborn under the name of Mamoru. He was orphaned when his parents died in a car crash. All he could remember was his name. Mamoru lived at the orphanage until he could get a job. He's been on his own ever since. At first, he went out with Rei. Then Usagi and Mamoru realized they were destined for each other, and have been together ever since.
