Saturday, June 13, 1998 I became the proud owner of a used banjo. Thursday, July 8, I gave my first performance. I sucked hardcore back then, but around November, I started taking lessons in Bluegrass Banjo. My main interest in the banjo emerged from watching and listening to The Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie. Though I have yet to learn that song, It usually keeps my interest high for getting better. I don't have the same banjo as Kermit did, but it can be played on it nonetheless. I'm currently taking music lessons at B.O.E. Music Studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My instructor's name is John Jason, who also teaches guitar among other things.
When I get around to it, I'll put some more pics and links to other banjo stuff, as well as more information from the place I take lessons at.
