Asbestos class Carrier
Here is a carrier for the Salamander class Missile Fighter. As always, there are many trade-offs (I almost sent this in a 3000-ton version, but it didn't have much cargo space for all the missile reloads needed). At TL9 armor is very hard to add (8% of the ship for the first point of armor).

These carriers have a missile bay for offensive punch and one battery of lasers and two of sandcasters for defense, though they try to stay out of battles since they are not armored. The 4G acceleration with agility 4 are quite respectable for a TL9 ship. There is a backup bridge which is normally configured to support the fighter wing. With an eigth of the tonnage available for cargo, a large number of reloads for the missle-firing fighters are available. Asbestos class carriers are named for fire-resistant materials.
