Peel class Provincial Corvette
Here is a design for a 1000 dton ship that should be good for extended cruises. It is partly intended to be a birthday present for my friend Talmage.

With 5Gs and jump-3, it has good tactical and strategic mobility without the higher burdens imposed by IN fleet requirements (6G, J4). It includes a ship's boat and an attached marine team to do inspections and boardings, and has extensive backups in case of battle damage or equipment failure. The cargo capacity is enough for about four months of cruise time, and the extra power plant fuel allows for at least two months uninterrupted operation (aside from jump fuel requirements). The jump fuel tank is separated into three separate 100 ton sections to minimize the possibility of a catastrophic fuel loss.
