One of the halls Puff played quite often was the Brewer Auditorium in Brewer, Maine; and I heard them there many times. Puff, made up of former members of the long-standing and much-admired Rockin' Ramrods, was a seasoned, rocking outfit. One of the great things about the band is the way it took over the room, always seizing home-court advantage. Hearing Puff at the Brewer Auditorium seemed much like attending a show in a Boston music hall or discotheque. I suppose Puff's album may be a period piece for many--an offering from a time capsule of the psychedelic-era; but for me it's one of the best of the Bosstown recordings.
