Directions:

Fr Big Lake, go S ~1 mi to Walker Valley Rd. Turn E for 3 mi on Walker Valley Rd. Then a 2 mi hike to rock on a rd that goes close to the E side of Equinox Rock. Refer to Clear Lake USGS Quad. (On map, rock is on the line between Sec 21 & 28). Poor directions - proceed with genuine uncertainty.

Notes:

The large boulders at the S and W face may be the redeeming feature of this area.
