These signs were installed so the public can see what Habitat for Humanity can do for low income people in our community.
The Fire Fighters Union requested that they put up a sign to show that
they have donated their time and energy to building this house as a project of their own.
Our local Habitat affiliate is most pleased to have them do that!!
The members of the Baumann Family are as follows-left to right: Dani Baumann, Dan and Rebecca Baumann, Johnathan Clement and Britney Clement.
On July 31'st 2004 we held a ground breaking ceremony on the grounds of Habitat Estates where the Baumann's house will be built.

This view shows the foundation forms in place as of Aug 4. The subsequent pictures will illusstrate the progress until the end of August.

The above photos show the progress up until Sept 1, 2004. We have been waiting on Trusses for all of the last week,
and believe there was a mixup in the delivery date. They are assembled in Salida, and delivered to us in Canon City.
The trusses finally arrived about a week later, and are shown being installed in the above photos.

These men are members of the local Fireman's Union, who have volunteered to supply the labor and expertise to build our 5th Habitat house.
This is the initial excavation which was ready just about the time of our groundbreaking.
The next view shows the footing forms in place-about one day later.

House is ready for roof sheeting and shingling by mid September.
It is now the 1'st of February. Exterior and interior house construction, and driveway are completed. All inspections have been performed, and the house is now ready for occupancy.
