Excavation began Oct 1, 2001 on our Penrose property.
Foundation work is now underway.
On the 24th of October, the footing for this house was poured.

On November 4, the stem walls were poured, and made ready for floor joists.
Nov 10, 2001 Floor Joists were installed and over half of the sub-flooring installed.
And now, Nov 17th, the framing is up and partially sheeted-not bad
for a single day's work!
The following Saturday, Nov 24, the crew installed all roof trusses
and completed sheeting the walls.See photos below.
It was a cold Nov 30th and Dec 1, (in the 40's) and the wind was out in force;however the crew braved the elements anyway and got the roof
covered.Shingles will be applied soon, and the inside wall studs installed.
By the 4th of December, after some of the crew worked into the dark
evening hours, the shingles were all on. Weather was chilly with strong
West winds.
More progress followed in the next 10 days, including the front porch addition,and inside wall framing. Also a high percentage
of electrical wiring, plumbing, and furnace ducting was completed by
the 14th of December.
By the 28th of December, the concrete front stoop had been poured, the swamp cooler installed,electrical and plumbing roughins completed, and the water and sewer lines installed. Windows had been delivered but were not yet installed.
