HFH ESTATES BUILD PROGRESS

Framing for lot 840 footing

On the 15th of November, 2002 the foundation framing was started on the first lot( #840 ) of two houses we plan to build on the subdivided plot called"Habitat for Humanity Estates" in North Canon City, Co.

This land was previously referred to as "Robbie Lane", but was renamed when the City of Canon City approved the subdivision of four lots and named it "Habitat for Humanity Estates".

Starting the footing on lot 840 Building committee chairman, Tom Hart and a few other volunteers got the footing started
very soon after the lots were excavated.

On the 17th of January the trusses were lifted by crane on top of the wall supports of both houses. It was a sunny day with low wind, so this operation took place with no problems. The crane was a rental machine supplied by Canon Rental.
