Origin: Southern Mexico through Honduras.

Temperament: Males sometimes pushy, but in all a good community fish.

Size: Up to 6cm (2.4")

Temperature: 70-80°F or 21-27°C

pH Level: 7.0 to 7.6.

Food: Flake food, pellets, peas, algae, lettuce. (most greens)

Tank Setup: Keep plenty of plants in the tank. Keep with peaceful species. Offer caves if necessary for females.

Breeding: Livebearer, will breed without intervention. Broods up to 80, after 4-6 weeks.

Sexing: Mature males distinguished by a gonopodium.

Comments: Very good community fish, easy to feed and care for.
