02.28.04 Last night was paynight but i skipped out the dg thingy. Call me a poop but some of us aren't just in the mood for bar drinking & smoking at seven in the morning. o_O Instead i'm waiting for weenstidoo here to finish her shift so we can buy dvds and pizza. Later tonight the ps gang will celebrate our one-year anniv party for batch 60 at gilligan's. I'll come if veen, chris, leng and i won't be pushing through our greenbelt plan. Click here. Isn't it the cutest? ^_^ Finished first week of training. This is the most difficult account ever. Mortgage. M-o-r-t-g-a-g-e. It doesn't help that i have no financial/banking experience ever. But i dont want to get discouraged this early on. I want to keep a positive attitude. ~While i have it anyway~ Maybe i could stay a bit longer here than i expect.. maybe a month or two. ^_^ But it's comforting that many of us doesn't have the appropriate background either, so we're all on the same footing. Compensation-wise, it's competitive, even the industry standards. Project-wise, Very Challenging would be an understatement. But looking back, i didnt have any "tech experience" either when i signed into that ISP project, but i got the hang of it after a while. I hope i will in this one too. This is Louie. How may i help you?" Me: "Hi. I just want to check if my replacement card is already available for pick up." Louis: "Card # pls." Me: *gives card number* Louis: *goes through verification process* "When did you confirm pick up?" Me: "Two days ago." Louis: "There's a hold on your card because we weren't able to contact you. Can I have your contact number, pls?" Me: "I gave you my mobile." Louis: "It's 0920.999.999, correct?" We will call you at 9.30am today and inform you when you can pick it up." Me: "Another agent told me two days ago it's available for pick up today. Why didn't you call me for the confirmation?" Louis: "We weren't able to reach you. Card is still on hold. We'll call you at 9.30" Me: "Ok, if i answer the call at 9.30 that means i can get the card today right?" Louis: "No, ma'am. I can't guarantee that. You will know if it's available by 9.30." Me: "See, your building is right across my office. I'm off from work since 2 hours ago. I want verification that i can get the card in a couple of hours if i can answer that call. You know so i won't go home yet to avoid two trips while i just wait for your office to open." Louis: "I see." *he didn't.* Me: "So?" Louis: "No." Me: "Ok. Bye." I hung up. Wait for 10 seconds. I call the same number. Representative: "Thank you for calling. This is Eds. How may i help you?" Me: "What was your name again?" Rep: "Eds." Me: "Hi Eds. Would you know if my card is available for pickup today like i was told on monday? Thanks." *verification* Eds: "Ok i'll check the records, i'll have to put you on hold." Me: "No prob." *waits for a minute* Eds: "You can pick it up anytime today between 9a-5p at scb ayala. Pls bring two valid ids and proceed to the 6th floor." Me: "Thank you, eds!" That's the thing with customer service. Procedures vary depending on the person your speaking to. If not, ask for a supe. Usually works. 02.10.04 Currently in the process of suffering from information overload. Lots of mortgage-specific terms. Just sneaking during lunch time. Gotta go. Got to prepare for the exam. 02.09.04 Tonight is my first night of training at work. It's not really training night yet, more like getting-to-know-each-other, filling-out-lengthy-sss/pag-ibig-forms kinda night. Half of the time the trainer is not even around because she's stuck in meetings. But I shouldn't be complaining. Gives us lot of chitchat time. Will be off at five am. |
