Renew/Replace Your Missouri Driver's License When temporarily out-of-state, you may renew/replace your Missouri driver license by printing and completing the Mail-In Driver License Application and follow all directions on the form carefully. (form DOR-4317)-Driver's License Application (ADOBE ACROBAT IS REQUIRED - This is a free download) If you consider your situation urgent (and if such service is available where you are), I recommend that you send your completed application with fee to our office by next day mail. I also recommend that you include a prepaid, self-addressed, next day envelope. This will expedite the mailing of your driver license to you. Processing usually takes about a week. It is not legal for any Missouri driver to operate a motor vehicle after his/her driver license has expired. You must not drive until you receive your renewal driver license in the mail.
