My hero goes first, risking himself to make it safe for others, They're our husbands, wives, children, sisters and brothers. Fairy tales are wonderful, a life of illusion, Real life is filled with tough decisions, turmoil and disillusion. The knight in shining armor was a great fairy tale as a child, But true life brings stories, not meek, happy or mild-- Stories of villains, bombings and situations gone wild. Make-believe super heroes are fun for children to want to be like, But my soldier will return home dirty, tired and changed for life.
