Currently, there has been a lot of developments in regards with the group and its immediate environment. Just recently, the very first formal assembly was held to clarify and set things straight about matters that were kept secret among the members of the group, for nearly two months.
The assembly talked about issues and relationships that bothered the group. Officially, the issues were numbered at fourteen (14), but as the meeting started, an additional of three (3) more issues were raised and recognized.
There were eight (8) people in attendance and only two (2) people were not able to attend, unfortunately. These people were EJ and Dennis. However, despite their absence, the group continued with the assembly and just reported the minutes to the absentees.
Jaime facilitated the meeting, for he was the one who organized the whole activity. Originally, the venue was supposed to take place in Valle Verde V, but we ended up in Robinson's Galleria's Skybowl to conduct the meeting instead. Nevertheless, the issues were still raised.
As the issues were debated, and concerned people informed the rest of the group their side and real feelings regarding the matter, we got to understand slowly the real facts that we were really not that knowlegable before.
Issues tackled by the group will remain only in the group. The minutes taken by Dominic, during the meeting, will not be posted here, for we have agreed to tell only what we would like to tell to others, unless everyone agrees to have it told. Before the end of the meeting, a gentleman's agreement was assured that information by any person, should be shared transparently, in the soonest possible time, to the ten (10) members of the group. It would be optional, depending on the issue, if the friends would learn about the matter. In cases as well, wherein the girls, particularly the BTC, will be the topic of conversation, it must be set clear first on what should be told.
We are doing this to avoid further misunderstandings and miscommunications among the members. It would be a good way to keep the friendships intact, and the relationships smooth. However, it was not long until this rule has been violated. At that same night, someone was able to break the agreement without consent, and that caused a lot of bleeding. The group almost collapsed because of it, and it was a good thing that it was corrected immediately, but the effects of the incident is still fresh.
Well, not long, Dominic tried to break away from the group, though his thoughts of leaving was really not that clear. He was unable to inform directly to any member his plans of leaving, except for the fact that he used to make "parinig", with regards to his newly found group, the "Chatters." Although this decision he made was deeply intriguing and important, it almost made the group collapse. Moreover, this problem was shadowed with a personal problem of Katrina. In the absence of Dominic, the group was at a great loss, in terms of guidance and morality. We were deeply troubled and we were all in disillusionment. There really not much to be done about this, for we were already able to talk about the same matter, a few weeks ago, when he also tried to leave the group. Kiven also confirmed that he is lying-low and gave the remark that if Dominic goes, he will follow, creating a great chain reaction, making it possible for the group to finally give way and collapse.
If this happens, the bunch of St. Paul friends, might also suffer the same fate, with the remark that Rachel will also leave the group if ever Dominic leaves the FFC. In her absence, it would be a tragic loss for both parties, if ever we could be called so, after the incidents.
Fortunately, Dominic came back to the group after some time. His return was greatly welcomed by everybody in the barkada. Although it took him some time to shift back, at least he has ensured that the group, which consists of two other subgroups will never fall. His presence served as a strong foundation of the barkada.
Part of his return was his decision to have Michelle as date to the prom rather than Rachel. Rachel and Dominic already had an agreement before that they would be dates, but things change. After an incident, it was then Michelle, that Dominic would be dating with on that special night. The two, have been extra close to one another recently.
Things have been also going weird for Jaime. Becauce of his experiences with his barkada, and their suggestions as well, he was able to write his first pshycological book entitled "Sopas for the Teenage Soul" which tackles a lot of problems current teenagers undergo today. He plans to write another book, with short stories, in a series. The books, which will cover the love story of Michiko and Damon, will be finished and published next year. Characters of this story include those of the barkada, although names have been altered.
Right now, the barkada is set to go to Enchanted Kingdom as a treat for themselves this Christmas. Hopefully, bonding would be able to bridge all of us together.
After a hectic load of school, the group decided to chill out in Enchanted Kingdom last December 19, 2000. It was a day of fun and more fun. In this day, we got to ride all those cool rides that turns our stomachs upside down. To initiate further communication between partners, it has been decided that couples go out together. This meant that Ryan went with Rachel, Jaime and Chinny, OJ and Cheryl and Dominic and Michelle. Although the plan was late, it provided the couples enough time to talk and get to know each other more. It was also a time for more bonding experience for both of them.
Not everyone enjoyed the day, though. Some were unable to mingle with the rest of the group, and decided to go on their own. However, this matter should be discussed properly.
Soon, Clara and Michelle will be celebrating their birthdays, and it has to be organized as well. Once clear, it would be another day for all of us to get together and have fun.
And so it happened. It has been agreed upon tthat we shall celebrate Michelle's birthday on December 27, 2000 at her place. There was a lot in store for the day, but the guys were late for everything, and not everything went as planned. There were some things set for the day though, which were still followed. First, we all ate food, as in any party. Second, we played some parlor games, with candies as prizes. There were couples who played in the games, which included the Newspaper Dance, Banana Eating Contest and Funny Bones. The highlight of the activity, however, was not the those games, but the game "Truth or Dare" where indeed, daring consequences, and intriguing questions were raised. This was a controversial moment, wherein pairs never escaped a thing. They were to submit to the will of the rest of the barkada, and can't do anything but to obey to whatever they would like them to do. This time, Dominic and Michelle got engaged, each having a bracelet of their own. Jaime and Chinny danced a sweet tuen, while Rachel sung Ryan a senti song. OJ and Cheryl, the only successful couple so far, in our history, kissed each other, which drove the rest of the group gaga. Well, other people were not interrogated, nor damaged that much, for they were not linked with those currently in the place. Also, on this day, the awards night was given to the people who truly deserved them. Next year would be a better year, hopefully some would retain the titles they gained.
December 30 was a great day for Clara, wherein she celebrated her birthday. It was also a day of struggle for Kiven, who has been wanting to communicate with Clara, for some time now, but has been unsuccessful, however. Clara hasn't text back Kiven yet, up to now, for unknown reasons. For the bright side of everything, on the same night, Dominic and Michelle were able to talk things out asking sensitive questions with one another.
There was an issue of Hubert and Angel, having a relationship. The group of girls didn't actually totally agreed to the idea of them being together for certain reasons, which affects the relationship they have now. Nevertheless, Hubert has invited Angel to the Prom, and hopefully she will be allowed to go to that special night, with a special man.
The new year, meant a year older for the eldest girl in the group, Michelle. Mitch celebrated her 16th birthday on the same day fireworks sparked. Well, on that same night as well, cellphone brigades were held to call all members of the two groups.
Currently, we are thinking of a collective name for the whole group, hopefully having an agreement to call it something. For some reason now, it still hasn't been agreed upon. Soon though, it shall be tackled. Relationships are still hot these days, with almost everyone busy making theirs work. It won't be long until this group is totally bonded, because of the mutual relationships they share. Not all would be linked with the opposite group however, but that's the trend. For now, we would have to know who the man of the month is.
