S: Before all of this negativity happened to you, what were your dreams for the future? What type of career were you looking at? Do you think you will ever persue those dreams? Why or why not?T: I always dreamed about leaving with the World of Outlaws...they are a group of people who race sprint cars on dirt. Yes, I will pursue it because it is the only place I feel good.
S: What kind of things do you like to do for past times?
T: I love to read, chat online, play playstation, I love the beach :o)
S: Where were you're favorite places to "hang out" and what did you do there?
T: There is a little park in Titusville called "Central Park". We all used to gather there and just hang out but the cops put an end to that because we were "Loitering", But I would like to know what else we were supposed to do, *keeping in mind that this is a public park*.
S: Before all of this happened, what was the worst day of your life?
T: The day I fractured my neck sledding. I was on an intertube and it got spun around backwards and I hit a parked car. It was a nasty situation.
S: What was the happiest day of your life?
T: The day I got to go to the race track called "Eldora". They have one of the biggest races of the year. It was so awesome. It was like the race was good, but the party was better...lol
S: What was your favorite subject in school, and why?
T: I loved Accounting...I don't know why, because I HATE MATH! But accounting was fun...it's all about dancing numbers and when it sums out right, it feels good to know ya got it right...
I also loved Creative Writing because I love to write poetry.
S:At what age did you start to feel attracted to guys? How did you feel about it? Were you scared, mixed up? Did the person know that you were attracted to him? Was he gay also? If not, how did he react, or did he even know you liked him?
T: I felt attracted to guys for the most part, starting out in 5th grade. I didn't feel like it was bad, it just felt normal to me. I didn't tell anyone how I felt until 9th grade...I never told my crush I had a crush on him...
S: How did you first find out the "word was out"?
T: My one friend approached me and asked me if I was "Gay" and I said "yes, why would you ask?" and he said because it's all over school.
S: How did that make you feel?
T: It made me scared because I knew the harassment had just turned up a notch.
S: Did your family know that you were gay before the word got out?
T: My grandmother said "she has always known" but I told my parents in the 9th grade I was gay or bisexual. I didn't know for sure what I was, but then I had a girlfriend and I realized I was gay because I had absolutely no feeling like sexually for her.
S: How did they react to the news? Were they supportive when you first told them?
T: My mom was in denial. She tried to blame everything she could get her hands on, but she was still supportive. :o)
My dad on the other hand has had a Homophobia for years...it was bad at first. We didn't even talk. But now my dad is sooooo much better. We talk about it all the time, and we are closer in my opinion.
S: Have any of your "friends" called to offer support since the word got out?
T: Let me see...maybe 3 or 4 did. It was so depressing because I thought I had more friends than that.
S: How does your family react toward you now?
T: I am just the same as I have always been and they treat me no different :o)
S: If you had to offer one piece of advice to a young person "coming out", what would it be?
T: Please, be True to yourself before "coming out". It feels soooooooo much better once you are true to yourself...It's like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders, and if I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing! Sure, it felt a little weird and things were tense for a year or so, but coming out was the best thing that happened to me, because I have found so much support from GREAT FRIENDS like Sonia, the person who created this website for me!
