Miss World 1974
Helen Morgan
United Kingdom

South Africa's Anneline Kriel finished second in the contest to UK'S Helen Morgan, who resigned her title after only four days due to uproar over her status as an unmarried mother and being named as the other woman in a divorce case. Anneline's soft blonde looks and gentle eyes gave her an air of delicate frailty. She had high moral standards, and still feels that sex before marriage is a sin. She was engaged to a theological student, but had to jilt her fiance a few months into her busy Miss World schedule.

Miss World 1980
Gabriella Brum
Germany

One day after being chosen as the most beautiful woman in the world, German model Gabriela Brum resigned claiming that her boyfriend disapproved of her winning. The 'naked truth' came about a few days later, when it was made public that the German beauty had posed nude for a magazine. The Morleys could not take the scandal and Kimberly Santos, Miss Guam, learned that anything is indeed possible. After getting so close to achieve her goal, hours after the pageant she was crowned Miss World 1980. Unexpectedly, Guam had won its only crown so far in the history of the pageant.
