Ok! Since you're wondering why I have a webpage dedicated to the two farm birds, the chick and the duck... well, they're adordable, and besides, they SHOULD have a page!
So.. how did they end up with Joey and Chandler?
In Season 321, TOW a Chick and a Duck, Joey decides to buy a baby chick from a Easter commerical he had been watching. He brought it home to show Chandler. Joey thinks the chick is a "she" but isn't sure, so Chandler checks, but can't find out either. Chandler names the chick, Yasmine, after the Baywatch babe, Yasmine Bleeth.. Unfortunately, they had a fight over who should be with the chick more often, Chandler became upset and gave Joey a lecture, then Joey feels bad and tells Chandler to take the chick back to the store, and asks him if he can get his $3.00 back in return. So, the next day, Chandler goes back to return the chick, but couldn't do it. Joey came and noticed the chick and asked him why the chick was still there. Chandler explains to Joey that the shelter he went to was going to kill Yasmine if he left her there. Joey gets an horrified look on his face, and decides that Yasmine must stay. After that, the duck comes out of the bathroom, quacking.
Joey: (on phone) Yeah, hi, You guys got any of those baby chicks? 'Cause I was watching this, ah, commerical on TV, and man, those guys are cute!
Joey: (carries a box) Hey!!
Chandler:Hey!
Joey: I got you something! Open it! Open it!
Chandler: Okay (opens the box, and sees it's a chick) It's a chicken.
Joey: It's cute, huh?
Phoebe: Whoa, whoa, whoa, you guys, do you know anything about chicks?
Chandler: Fowl? No.Women? No.
Phoebe: Okay, well they are a huge responsiblity, especially at this age.  They require constant care. They, they, need just the right food, and lots and lots of love.
Joey:  Oh, well, no problem there (he picks up the chick and baby talks to it and hugs it tenderly).
Chandler: Easy there, Lenny.
Chandler: Oh good! Good! Do you guys know how to get a chick out of a VCR?!
Chandler: I know. Yes, yes That's Yasmine Bleeth, she's a completely different kind of chick. I love you both, but in very different ways.
Joey: Whatcha doing?
Chandler: Having a swim.
Joey: What about the chick?
Chandler: Chicks don't swim.
Joey: Are you sure?
Chandler: I don't know, should we try it?
Joey: Sure.
(Chandler drops the chick in the water)
Chandler: See? I told you they don't swim (he goes to take it out)
Joey: (stopping him) Wait. Give him a minute
Chandler: No! (takes him out) It's okay, baby, baby baby...
( Joey picks up an hairdryer and turns it on)
