Courteney, who plays the character
of Monica, was born on July 15th, 1964. She was originally from Birmingham, AL.,
but after she graduated, she moved to New York City. There she signed with the
Ford modeling agency and she started doing TV comercials for such companies as
Maybelline, Noxema, and the New York Telephone Company.
In 1984 Courteney broke into acting
on "As the World Turns". Later she was cast to be pulled out of the
audience in the Bruce Springsteen video "Dancing in the Dark".
Courteney has also been on many TV shows like "Misfits of Science" and
"The Trouble with Larry", and she has guest-starred on such shows as
"Seinfeld", "Murder, She Wrote", and "Dream On".
She is best known for portraying Lauren, Alex's (Michael J Fox) girlfriend on
the show "Family Ties". She has also done many movies such as
"Ace Ventura: Pet Detective", "Mr. Destiny", "Cocoon:
The Return", and "Masters of the Universe". Courteney has also
been in many TV movies like "Prize Pulitzer", "Curiosity
Kills", and "Battling for Baby". She also did the mini-series
"Till We Meet Again".
Courteney currently lives in Los
Angeles. She enjoys remodeling and decorating homes in her spare time. Recently
Courteney married David Arquette, who she met when filming the Scream movies.
