"Friends"  News

11/03/01 -  Jennifer Aniston's husband Brad Pitt has recorded his much anticipated guest spot on Friends - and the role is far from glamorous. Reports have been rife about his appearance on the hit sitcom, but according to crew members on the set, the hunk recorded his spot this week. The episode will air at the end of November but hunky Pitt won't be breaking any hearts on the show. Rather than smooching up with his real-life-wife Aniston for a romantic lead role, Pitt has opted to take a role as Ross' geeky high school friend and will even don a fat suit for a flashback sequence.

10/25/01 -  To induce the six stars of Friends to return for a ninth season, NBC plans to offer them the opportunity to do fewer segments for the same amount of money, the Chicago Tribune's "Inc" column reported today (Thursday). The same column includes a quote from David Schwimmer about whether there will be any reference to the Sept. 11 events during upcoming episodes ("I don't think we will or we should. ... We dedicated the premiere to the people of New York City."), but gives no intimation of the cast's possible response to such an offer.

10/25/01 -  Reuters is reporting that The Emmy Awards, the television honors twice postponed since the Sept. 11 attacks on America, will now be held on Nov. 4. The show will take place at the Shubert Theatre in the Los Angeles district of Century City. The show was postponed from its original date of Sept. 16 out of respect for the victims of the Sept. 11 hijacking assaults on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The ceremony was reset for Oct. 7, then canceled again when the United States began air attacks on Afghanistan that day. Officials of the Emmy-sponsoring Academy of Television Arts and Sciences said after the second postponement that they were determined to go on with the show at a later date -- possibly at a military base or hotel ballroom.riends .

10/25/01 -  Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is clueless as to how the hit American show will end. The beautiful star, who plays Rachel Greene in the long-running comedy, says the cast have recorded a false ending of the sitcom to keep everyone guessing. It is thought the latest season of Friends, currently being shown in America, will be the last. Jennifer told Britain's OK! magazine, "The night we shot the finale, we were handed the scripts at two o'clock in the morning. We shot a whole phoney ending, sent the audience home and then they didn't even let us know how it was going to end." She adds she'll still hang out with the cast of Friends when the sitcom ends. "We all love each other. I hope we stay friends for a very long time," she says.

10/25/01 -  Jennifer Aniston has announced that she would like to take the lead role in the forthcoming Wonder Woman film. The Friends actress and wife of Brad Pitt has revealed that she would love to make a superheroine movie and has suggested to studio bosses that she would like to play the Bionic Woman. Failing this, Aniston (who is clearly an aficionado of comic-book heroines) would love to play the Amazonian, Wonder Woman. She may well be in luck – the film's makers are currently searching for an actress since Sandra Bullock pulled out of the role, supposedly because she became frustrated at the lack of progress..

10/08/01 -  Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were awakened by the loud, agonized howls of what sounded like a wounded animal. Wanting to help what they thought was a coyote in pain, they jumped out of bed - then decided it might be dangerous to approach the panicked creature at night. They called animal control who rushed over and found the howling beast - who turned out to be a drunken neighbor loudly bellowing about the loss of his lady love.

10/02/01 -  Jennifer Aniston admits to pot smoking. Aniston has admitted that she likes to smoke marijuana. According to press reports, the Friends actress said: 'I enjoy it once in a while. There is nothing wrong with that. Everything in moderation – I wouldn't call myself a pothead.' Aniston, whose sex, drugs and rock'n'roll film Rock Star is currently out in the US, insists that smoking is not that bad. 'It's not cocaine or shooting heroin,' she said. However, Mrs Brad Pitt's lifestyle is, in some respects, more sedate than her film. When asked if she had ever participated in an orgy of the type seen in the movie, she joked: 'I have never had anything so exciting or fun happen to me.' Her husband's fans may disagree.

10/02/01 -  Jennifer Aniston Too Tired For Two Jobs. Aniston is never going to take on two jobs at the same time again - because it's too exhausting. The Friends star, who is married to Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt, says overlapping the filming of Friends with filming a movie made her realize that she's just not cut out for multi-tasking and she's determined to stick to one job at a time in future. Aniston says, "The quality of life, it's very important. You know, even just finishing this job I did at the end of Friends that was called The Good Girl, I was pulling double duty again and I was just like, 'eek.' As amazing as it was, it was so exhausting, I felt like something was going to suffer. I'm not a workaholic like that."

09/26/01 -  Hit TV show Friends has been forced to reshoot one of its episodes, following last week's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington DC. The episode saw Monica, played by Courteney Cox Arquette, and Chandler, played by Matthew Perry, arriving at the airport hours before their honeymoon flight, but studio bosses have decided to change the plot, as they no longer see the storyline as appropriate. Friends executive producer David Crane says, "A lot of it had to do with how ridiculous it was for crazy, obsessive Monica to want to get there three hours in advance. Two weeks ago, that would have been ridiculous. It's not ridiculous now. A lot of the comedy in it didn't feel funny, so we reshot the storyline." The refilmed episode - which had been set entirely in an airport - is the third in the show's eighth season. It's slated to air on American screens on October 11th.

09/26/01 -  Friends star Matt Perry was ridiculed at a recent sports event by kids who called him 'fat ass' and 'druggie'. The actor, who is paid $650,000 per episode of the hit TV show, was umpiring a badminton tournament in Los Angeles when he came under attack from the children. The outraged actor, who has battled addiction to painkillers after years of alcohol and drug abuse, stormed off the court shouting, "I can't take this!" Matt, who plays wise-cracking Chandler Bing in the comedy show, had been asked by a pal to umpire at the tournament. Last night a worker on the Friends show said, "He was a bit upset after all he has been through as well as the fact he was trying to give something back to the community."

09/12/01 -  Last Year of Friends? On  The Rosie O'Donnell' Show season premiere, Friends star David Schwimmer was asked whether this was the final year of the NBC comedy. "I don't know," he hedged, adding with a smirk that since this was the last year of Rosie, maybe Friends should end as well. This comes on the heels of Jennifer Aniston's recent comments to TV Guide
Online, in which she seemed to indicate that the sitcom was in its final season. "If I think about it, it chokes me up to realize that this will be over," she said. "It's been a pretty intense eight years for this group of people, experiencing a lot together. It's a major crossroads we're at together in our lives. So it's very, very sad."?

09/10/01 -  Audiences thumbed their noses at critics again over the weekend, making Universal's The Musketeer, which reviewers gleefully sliced up on Friday, the No. 1 film at the box office. The movie, which reportedly cost upwards of $60 million to make, earned only $10.7 million. The No. 2 slot was occupied by Sony's Two Can Play that Game, which wasn't even shown to critics. It earned $8.3 million. Another opener, Warner's Rock Star, which nabbed good notices for its star, Mark Wahlberg, took the third slot with only $6.2 million. [The result was a major disappointment -- particularly since many analysts had forecast that it would open at No. 1. One of them, Art Rockwell of Rockwell Capital Management, told Bloomberg News: "Based on the stars in it {the film also stars Jennifer Aniston}, I thought it would do OK for a rock film. ... Goes to show Mark Wahlberg isn't a stand-alone actor."] The top 12 films grossed an estimated $62.6 million, down 17 percent from last weekend but up 39 percent from the same week a year ago.

08/28/01 -  Warner Home Video (WHV) is bringing more favorite moments from TV's "Friends" to home video, with two more volumes of the episodes voted the best by fans and the series' creators.Ten additional episodes from the first six seasons of America's No. 1 comedy series, "The Best of Friends Vols. 3 & 4," will be available on November 20, as single volumes, a  two-volume set and a four-volume set (which includes the previously released Vols. 1 and 2). 08/28/01 -  British pop star Sophie Ellis Bextor, who is climbing the UK charts with her cover of Cher's "Take Me Home," will not be joining the cast of NBC's Friends this season, according to Reuters. British newspapers had reported that the 22 year old singer and former model was set to take over the role of Ross's ex-wife Emily, previous played by actress Helen Baxendale, but a publicist for Warner Bros. denies that this claim is true.

08/24/01 -  Emmy-winning TV director James E. Burrows wants a share of the millions of dollars Warner Bros. has made off of Friends. According to Inside.com, Burrows is suing Warner Bros. Television, claiming the studio agreed in 1994 to pay him 5 percent of the net profits generated by the top-rated sitcom, in exchange for him directing the show's pilot. Burrows currently is employed at NBC's Will & Grace.

08/20/01 -  First, in case you hadn't heard, it is absolutely, positively true that Jennifer Aniston's Rachel will be pregnant during the eighth season of Friends, which premieres on NBC September 20 (8 p.m. ET). And though many fans are worried that the show will pull a lame trick and have Ms. Green be preggers via an anonymous sperm bank, show producer David Crane has said that the daddy is an actual character who will be revealed in further shows. As for the premiere, a little birdie who attended the taping tells me we join the gang immediately following Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) and Chandler's (Matthew Perry) wedding.

(Warning: Spoilers ahead.)  The first episode opens with everyone congratulating Monica on her pregnancy, and when she tells them she's not the one who's expecting, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) deflects attention from the real mama-to-be by proclaiming herself pregnant. Pheebs goes on to say she can't reveal the father of her child because "he's very famous," while Rachel wigs out and gathers the female pals in the ceremony hall bathroom so she can take another home pregnancy test. Joey (Matt LeBlanc), meanwhile, is displaying his acting abilities to impress a Broadway type who's the date of Chandler's mom (Morgan Fairchild). Meanwhile Ross (David Schwimmer) is haplessly trying to hit on a female wedding guest. The episode ends, I'm told, with Rachel's second rabbit test confirming she's with bambino. The next two episodes cover the days immediately following the wedding.

08/10/01 - Brad Pitt has given wife Jennifer Aniston permission to have an affair with rocker Steven Tyler. The lucky Friends actress, 32, has told Elle fashion magazine that she and her spouse discussed who she's allowed to be unfaithful with, and agreed she can get together with the Aerosmith wildman - because Tyler has lots of energy. Sexy Jen says, "He is the one person that Brad says I can have if the opportunity presents itself. I don't know how old the man is, but he's phenomenal, that energy." But the babe and Brad's little agreement only benefits her - when asked who she's agreed to Brad having a fling with, Aniston snaps, "That never comes up."

08/10/01 - The New York Post reports Brad Pitt has asked Jennifer Aniston to stop playing gay. Aniston, who locked lips with Winona Ryder last season on Friends and has a same-sex kiss in her upcoming movie Rock Star, has become an icon in the gay community. According to London's Sunday People, Pitt fears Aniston will "not be taken seriously." In other Pitt/Aniston news, have scraped together $13.5 million to buy themselves a bungalow in Beverly Hills, California. The 12,000-square-foot, six-bedroom house was built in the 1930s for Fredric March, the Oscar-winning actor who starred in Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde in 1931 and The Best Years Of Our Lives in 1946. Pitt, 37, and Aniston, 32, who married a year ago, spent months looking for the perfect place. Their love nest is a French Normandy construction with a rotunda foyer, a screening room, a wine cellar and a tennis court.

07/24/01 - Just for the record: Rachel Green is pregnant. Her alter ego, Jennifer Aniston, is not pregnant. Leave it to the blurred lines of fact and TV fiction--and a German magazine--to unleash more stork rumors for Aniston and hubby Brad Pitt. But their publicists (still) insist the Friends star is not expecting--and they're now seeking a retraction from the German edition of Marie Claire over its false pregnancy report. The magazine has quoted Pitt as saying, "Number one is already on the way...Now, we're just hoping that everything goes well." Pitt's camp says the actor did speak to the freelance writer who penned the story, but that he never said Aniston was pregnant.  Speculation about the couple's family plans has been brewing for months, fueled in part by the cliffhanger season finale of Friends, which revealed that Aniston's character Rachel is preggers.

Aniston, 32, and Pitt, 37, tied the knot last July in Malibu, and they've since made no secrets about their plans for a little bundle of joy. In a story that wasn't retracted, Pitt told Britain's Sunday Express earlier this year that "the planning is under way, negotiations are taking place, and I'm willing to predict a successful conclusion."
Added Pitt: "I believe in the concept of marriage and family and it's always been my intention to take this step and build a life with someone."

07/24/01 - Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have initiated a £36 million lawsuit against the Italian jewellery designer who made their wedding rings. Mr and Mrs Pitt claim that Silvia Damiani and Damiani International reproduced the rings and also offered them for sale over the internet and at jewellery shops in Palm Desert and Las Vegas. The rings sold by Damiani are 18-carat white gold creations with 12 or 13 diamonds and can be bought for $1,000. The rings made for the Hollywood supercouple – designed by Pitt - are similar. Pitt’s has 10 diamonds and is engraved with Jen 2000, while Aniston’s has 20 diamonds and bears the engraved words Brad 2000. The lawsuit states: ‘Damiani essentially made Pitt and Aniston serve as its unwilling shills, hawking its jewellery to potential customers.’ They also claim that Damiani used the designs to gain ‘the type of publicity that money can't buy: the purported endorsement and sponsorship of perhaps the world's most recognisable couple'.

07/02/01 - Melissa Etheridge is back with new Skin (the album) and a hot new love song with friend Jennifer Aniston as the lead role of video vixen!
Jennifer plays a young pretty gal who is at a party, and it's a very simple piece. We didn't want it to get terribly complicated because we didn't want it to be all loaded down when the song says a lot. It's just about looking out for someone in the midst of a whole lot of other people, and deflecting advances and finally settling on the one that you know and the one that you love. It's a very simple emotion, but yet she's such a great actress, she really carries it all and has a lot going on in it.

07/02/01 - David Schwimmer suffered nightmares while filming new World War II movie Uprising because of the grim images to which he was subjected. The Friends actor and his co-stars, Donald Sutherland, Jon Voigt and Sadie Frost, were all effected by the dark story of the film, which centers around a Jewish uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto. And actor Andy Nyman, who plays Jewish defector Calel in the movie, says, "Meeting some of the people who actually lived through the atrocities we had to recreate was very moving. David actually had nightmares about some of the grim footage we had to sit through to prepare for the movie. When we met some of the eighty-year-olds that had been a part of it, he was close to breaking up - we all were." To lighten the atmosphere between takes, part-time magician Nyman and Schwimmer spent their time playing table tennis. Nyman says, "He brought a ping-pong table with him and he's extremely good. I lost every time."

07/02/01 - Friends star Matthew Perry was a fun guy at school but couldn't get a date. The 31-year-old star has failed to find longterm romantic happiness in adulthood despite being linked to Friends guest star Julia Roberts. He wasn't very good at relationships when he was at school either. He remembers, "As a kid I was the coolest guy of the non-cool crowd. We were the guys who made you laugh but didn't get any dates. "I would always go for the pratfall instead of the emotional thing. I always feel my best when I can crack someone up." Matthew is the only member of the Friends cast to be invited to attend meetings with the writers where he contributes jokes and funny lines.

07/02/01 - Hollywood star Brad Pitt will team up with the Coen Brothers for his next film. To The White Sea will see Pitt kill and maim his way through Second World War Tokyo, Japan, in the movie. Don't expect much speaking - the brothers, known for their movie eccentricities, are planning to make the film silent.

07/02/01 - Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are moving out of their house because they think it is haunted. The couple are said to be concerned that the baby they are trying for might be harmed by evil spirits they believe to reside in their £1 million Hollywood Hills home. The house has been the scene of numerous murders and suicides since it was built in 1910 and the previous owner, actress Cassandra Peterson, moved out in 1994 after hearing one bump in the night too many. ‘There were footsteps on the fourth floor, which was completely locked and no one had access to it,’ she said, spookily. Peterson also claims that she once saw a ghost. ‘I saw a person sitting in front of my fireplace one night. It was a man and I spoke to him. Next thing, I looked and he had just disappeared. I got a priest to come in and do the exorcist thing. It seemed to do the trick.' However, Mr and Mrs Pitt are less convinced and are looking for a more suitable home in Beverly Hills in which to raise their brood.

06/22/01 - Jennifer Aniston is pregnant. The information was confirmed by one of the couple's friend.  According to an insider, the hole cast is completly happy about them and expecting to the script writers to add this new character inside the scripts.  Unfortunately, there are certain rumours that Courteney Cox Arquette had miscourage.  This information wasn't confirmed by her publicist.

06/22/01 - Jennifer Aniston has refused to appear in her birthday suit in her new film The Good Girl. Director Miguel Arteta didn't realize that Jennifer has a no- nudity clause in her contracts - ensuring husband Brad Pitt is the only man who gets to see her curves. A crew-member says, ""A lot of people were making the assumption she wasn't happy stripping off because she is pregnant. But she said it was simply a matter of taste and she wasn't going that far."

06/22/01 - Actress Courteney Cox has only problem with her husband David Arquette - he snores. Courteney is baffled by media reports that she and her husband have a bad marriage. She says, "We've been reported to be sleeping in separate bedrooms and I've apparently thrown him out of the house now, going on four or five times, I've lost count. The viciousness and the lies are something neither of us expected. David and I are actually very happy and we definitely sleep together. Although he does snore terribly."

06/22/01 - The six stars of Friends have won a new deal worth $1 million an episode each for the ninth and final season. Jennifer Aniston, 32, Lisa Kudrow, 37, Matthew Perry, 31, Matt Leblanc, 33, Courteney Cox, 36, and David Schwimmer, 34, each stand to earn almost $24 million for the 24 episodes, with a three-month break before shooting begins this August. Ten years ago, they earned just $6,500 an episode. According to a worker at the makers of the hit show, Warner Brothers, next season will definitely be the last, and the stars only made the huge demand because they expected it to be turned down. The employee reveals of the cast, "They don't exactly get on that well any more. And their agents held us to ransom."

04/22/01 - Again we have news to tell about Matthew Perry.  Unfortunately, his BMW crashed into another car in a West Los Angeles intersection.  But this time, it wasn't his fault. Los Angeles police say Perry, 31, was heading west down Santa Monica Boulevard at about 11:45 A.M., when an unidentified 75-year-old woman failed to yield, pulling her '89 Ford Escort into oncoming traffic. The car collided with Perry's gray 2000 Beamer.

But this time, it wasn't his fault.  For those of you that don't remember, he had a similar accident last May.  That time, the actor crashed his Porsche into the porch of a Hollywood Hills home.

03/20/01 - Friends has a rather creepy storyline coming up for an early May episode, in which Ross (David Schwimmer) tries to spark a little incestuous somethin' somethin' with his cousin. The cousin is played by Valentine star Denise Richards ("The World is not Enough" - "Wild Things").

03/16/01 - According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Matthew Perry will reportedly be released from his stint in rehab in time for Chandler to say "I do" on the show's season finale, slated to air during the May sweeps.
According to the newspaper, Perry's reps have informed NBC that he will be ready, willing and able to work on the upcoming hour-long episode of the show. Perry entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center late last month, causing many to wonder how the show might go ahead with the much-anticipated wedding of Chandler to Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette).
Production on the wedding episode is slated to begin in about two weeks. The comedy, currently on production hiatus, returns to work Tuesday before wrapping its seventh season on March 31. There are still 8 original episodes to be aired in the current season.

03/01/01 - Brad Pitt finally said "yes".  He is going to take part in the show.  This is one of the things NBC wanted in order to gain the top again in it's race against Survivor. He will play as Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) romantic boyfriend.

03/01/01 - The famous actress Winona Ryder will guest star in the show.  According to PageSix, Winona will play as an old Rachel's friends from college.  Apparently, the two will have a hot scene in the one Winona will conffess she is in love with Rachel. I don't know if these things are really going to happen but I read them and wanted to pass the news.

03/01/01 - According to The Hollywood Reporter, Friends star Matthew Perry has entered a rehabilitation clinic for treatment of an undisclosed condition. A statement from the actor's spokeswoman, Lisa Kasteler, explains that the actor checked into an unidentified clinic on the advice of his doctors, but did not elaborate further as to why he needed rehabilitation or where he was hospitalized.

The spokesperson did add that "Matthew has every intention of completing his treatment so that he can continue his dream of entertaining people and making them laugh." This isn't Perry's first trip to rehab: He underwent voluntary treatment for dependency on the painkiller Vicodin in June 1997.

This may postpone the wedding between Chandler and Monica. Friends cast is currently in the process of shooting the final four episodes of the season, which will probably involve the wedding storyline. A spokesperson for the show said only that Friends will "remain in production, and original episodes will continue to air as scheduled." The writers may have to rework the plots for the end-of-season episodes in order to accommodate his absence. So, Chandler and Monica fans may have to wait until next season before their union in marriage.

02/04/01 - Despite all the NBC's efforts to avoid it, "Friends" lost against "Survivor" on it's first show of the year.  CBS's television program "Survivor - The Australian Outback" was watched by 29 million people (17,3 rating).  In the other hand, NBC's "Friends" was followed by 22,2 million people (12,2 rating).  We can realize that NBC moves of adding 10 extra minutes to de show and increasing the number of guest stars wasn´t enough to keep "Friends" on top of the charts.  Anyway, it's important to mention that it was "Survivor" season premiere, it's impossible to know if the show will keep that rating all over the season.  Also if we analyze some "Friends" history, we realize that "Friends" have had highers ratings when we are speaking about season premieres or finales.
So, the first battle was won by "Survivor".
We will have to wait for the next Thursdays to know which program wins the war......

01/29/01 - Before the expected wedding happens, there will be a sort of fight between Chandler and Mónica.  There will be a chapter called "The One With The Truth About London" were Mónica tells Chandler that went she went to London her plans were having a sort of relationship with Joey, not with him.  This makes Chandler very angry and causes serials quarrels

01/27/01 - I heard some rumours that Courteney Cox Arquette is searching for a Divorce from David Arquette.  Apparently,  they wish different things for their lives.  Meanwhile she wants to make a family, his seems to want to party some years more and live the family for later years.  Always remember that this are rumours, we´ll have to wait to see if it is true or not.

01/27/01 - Seinfield´s actor Jason Alexander will guest star in this Thursday Episode of Friends.  His appearance is another NBC move in order to keep Friends viewers glued to the show.  Other names that sound to guest star are: Elizabeth Hurley, Victoria Beckham, Robert Redford, Katie Holmes, etc.  May be they are only rumours but I do hope some of them guest star because extra actors give the show real funny scenes.

01/27/01 - NBC Entertainment President, Jeff Zucker, had said last week that NBC would not "roll over and die" in the wake of CBS' decision to schedule Survivor 2" opposite Friends on Thursdays. What is NBC's weapon? An extra 10 minutes of Friends in February!
Friends producers and cast are working to deliver what NBC is calling "super-size" episodes of the hit comedy for the February sweeps. The four episodes will likely run about four to six minutes longer than a traditional 22-minute episode. The new episodes are expected to end at around 8:40 p.m. rather than 8:30 PM.

"Obviously, it's probably going to take some (audience) out of Friends," Zucker admitted but added that "we couldn't put anything stronger against Survivor." NBC is hoping that keeping viewers glued to NBC will cut into Survivor's ratings, which spiked last summer in the last half-hour each week as contestants were voted off.

01/10/01 - This great show is finally recognized. Friends won the People's Choice award for Favorite Television Comedy Series. That wasn't all. Jennifer Aniston won an award for Favorite Female Television Performer. Here is the InStyle Story. And here's Jennifer in a Prada dress. Make sure to click on the last photo of the four. The 27th Annual People's Choice Awards was held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The ceremony was the first of the year's many awards shows, which include the American Music Awards, Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

12/16/00 - Remember this are SPOILERS!!!!!!
The One Where They All Turn Thirty: Rachel's birthday and the gang surprises her with breakfast and gifts. Tag appears from Rachel's bedroom and announces that she is having a hard time accepting turning thirty. In anattempt to make Rachel feel better, the group reminisces about less-than-perfect birthdays they each had through a series of flashbacks. Ross celebrates his 30th birthday by buying a sports car, but couldn't drive it anywhere because it was blocked by other cars. Monica showed up drunk to her own surprise birthday party and on Phoebe's birthday she discovered she was actually turning thirty-one, not thirty. Turning thirty makes Rachel realize she wants to get married and have kids soon. Unfortunately, Tag is much younger and doesn't want the same things right now as Rachel, so she decides to break it off.

12/10/00 - Jennifer Aniston and Friends were nominated for The 27th Annual People's Choice Awards, the first awards show of the new year. Aniston was nominated in the "Favorite Female Television Performer" category and will be up against Jenna Elfman and Calista Flockhart. Friends was nominated in the "Favorite Television Comedy Series" category along with Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond.
Other nominees include Geenda Davis, Bette Middler, Kelsey Grammer and Ray Romano. The winners in 18 categories covering television, motion pictures and music will be announced on the show hosted by Kevin James on Jan. 7 on CBS.

12/01/00 - According to a WB spokeswoman, Eddie Cahill, best known as the cute assistant Rachel recently hired on NBC's Friends, will appear in at least three episodes of Felicity, Cahill will play James. the not-so-good boyfriend of Molly, played by British actress Sarah-Jane Potts.  The actor may also be remembered by some from HBO's Sex and the City, where he played Sarah Jessica Parker's younger bisexual boyfriend last season. Cahill will appear on Felicity from Nov. 29 until Dec. 13, when the show breaks for Jack and Jill.

09/29/00 - Just when we thought we've seen the last of her, Janice comes back. On the Nov 16 episode, titled "The One with Ross's Library Book", Maggie Wheeler, who plays Janice, makes a guest appearence. Here's what the episode is about: Janice invites herself to Chandler and Monica's wedding. Joey, meanwhile, squirms when Rachel befriends his one-night stand and Ross blows his stacks at finding his book shelved in the library's lovers' lane section.

09/29/00 - I have some spoilers about the episode 2 of  the 7th.  season.  The chapter is called "The One With Rachel´s Book".  It´s scheduled to air on October 19.  Remember that these are spoilers, so if you don´t like them just stop reading now.
        Monica and Chandler begin planning their wedding. Monica is excited to have the wedding she has ever dreamed. While having dinner with her parents, she finds out that they spent 'The Monica Wedding Fund' on the beach house. Monica gets pretty worried but Chandler says he's been saving for the last 6 years. Nevertheless he doesn't want to spend it all on the
wedding, what gets Monica even more worried. Joey won't sleep in his bed...well because the duck threw up everywhere.
So, he goes to Rachel's room, where he accidentally discovers the book Rachel is reading, which is a porn novel. Meanwhile, Phoebe makes plans to move in with Ross to give more privacy to Chandler and Monica.

09/11/00 - Unfortunately "Friends" didn´t win the Emmy award in the Best Comedy Series category (Will and Grace won).  Neither Jeniffer Aniston (Rachel) nor Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) could make the Best Supporting Actress in Comedy Series award. But there´s a good news, Bruce Willis won the Emmy in the Guest Appearance in a Comedy Series category.  I didn´t particularly like his part in the show, but is a prize related to "Friends" so I´m glad about it.  I hope "Friends" makes it next year!!!!!!

08/30/00 - Lot's of wonderfull things are going to happen in the new season. Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox Arquette) get married, and the Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jeniffer Aniston) romance heat up once again. In guest-star news, Jill (Reese Witherspoon) is set to return later in the season as Rachel's troublemaking sib, and Chandler's ex-girlfriend Janice (Maggie Wheeler) will be back in at least one episode to wreak a little havoc. The new season starts on October 5.

        In the next lines you will find a short summary of what's going to happen in the October 5 Season premiere.  So, if you want to be surprised by the episode, stop reading now. Rachel becomes jealous of all the attention Monica is getting with her engagement and decides that she and Ross should pretend to have sex on Monica's engagement night to bring some of the focus back on her. The ever-competitive Monica bursts into Rachel's room and tells her, "I hope you (and Ross) do get back together, and I hope you do have sex tonight. But I warn you, the night you announce your engagement is the night I announce I am pregnant!".  The Ross and Rachel affair soon becomes more than pretend, but of course, complications arise: Rachel, who was living with Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) until a fire wiped out their abode, will continue to live with Joey (Matt LeBlanc), while Phoebe, who has been living with Monica and Chandler, will decide the couple needs more privacy and move in with Ross.

08/02/00 - Jeniffer Aniston and Brad Pitt did get married the last weekend. The ceremony took place near the beach in Malibu. A huge kind of tent was made in order to keep the press away. The almost 300 guests invited, reached the place in rented buses. The hole "Friends"cast was there and other famous actors also, such as Edward Northon, Salma Hayek, etc.
As soon as I have new material (pictures, videos) I'll add it here.

07/24/00 - The 2000 Emmy Nominations were announced on July 20th. Here´s the "Friends" related nominees:

-Comedy Series
   * Friends

-Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
   * Jennifer Aniston
   * Lisa Kudrow

-Favorite Guest Appearance on a Comedy Series
   * Tom Selleck (for Friends)
   * Bruce Willis (for Friends)

        According to Entertainment Tonight, Matthew Perry has withdrawn his name from the Emmy nominations. This came about following an error by his publicists. They had listed his name in the lead actor category and when he found out he was very furious. Matthew sees the cast of Friends as equals and feels he should be in the supporting actor category.

        Matt LeBlanc has signed on to star in the indie flim "All the Queen's Men". It's a comedy and he will begin filming in Europe on August 3rd. He is featured opposite Claudia Schiffer in Jon Bon Jovi's new music video scheduled to be released this summer.
Lisa Kudrow will begin filming the movie, The Anniversary Party in early July. This movie also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gwyneth Paltrow and real life married couple Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates.

06/01/00 - A brief review of what the cast is doing right now:

05/18/00 - I'm starting my site and the BEST news I can tell you is that the cast signed a two-year contract renewal on Sunday. They didn't get the $1 million per episode they were asking for, but the six stars of Friends will still be making a nice salary for two more years.  The cast will receive $750,000 per episode (six times their current salary of $125,000), while their share of syndication rights will double from a half point to a full point, according to industry sources. Rumors are that David S. and Lisa K. didn't want to continue with the show and Jennifer A. really want the show to continue. But they all stuck to the "all or nothing" pact.
