| Introduction |
| Nicholas the second, the last emperor of Russia, was killed by the Russian Revolution of 1927 and was one of the major European pre-World War 1 leaders. He was killed with his wife and children. During his life from 1868-1918, his reign was marked domestically by increasingly sharp conflict between classes and ethnic groups and externally by wars against Japan (1904-1905) and Germany (1914-1917). |
