| Here's the final "official
statistics" for the Spring 2001 Friday Knights - as
you can see - the refs are lucky to get all the goals
scored correctly - let alone getting half of the assists
and penalties right ... But here it is - looks like Steve Benninger
wins the scoring title despite getting gypped out of a
bunch of assists .... and of course we'll never hear the
end of the Pete McDonald leading the team in assists in
Spring 2001 ... must be some "funny accounting"
at the scorer's bench?!?!?
The team finished 7-6-1 in
14 games - not a solid Title Defense - soooo .. we'll
need to "make the Spring 2002 Season our Friday
Knight Revenge! Until then - skate hard and use the
boards!
For the second
year in a row, the goalie outscored Dean. Maybe we will
teach Dean to shoot during the winter.
