After Lazaro Gonzalez's disappearance from the FWF, the Hardcore Title was declared vacant and put on the line in the opening match of No Escape. Eddie McPhereson and Cracker were the first two to challenge, and Cracker came out victorious. However, he still had a previously scheduled match for the PPV against Batman, and had to defend against him, Jo-Jo, and then Hardcore Beary and Sexy Bear in a triple threat when the latter three took advantage of the 24/7 rule. After winning the title and defending it three times in one day though, the fatigued Cracker was easy pickings for his fourth challenger, Eddie McPhereson, who defeated him for the title.
