Although he had always been known as a hardcore legend, Hardcore Beary had never really had the chance to show it in the FWF. He had come up short on several occasions before, but Hardcore Beary came back to the FWF after the break a new, more determined man. This determination, along with a little help from a former enemy, allowed Hardcore Beary to celebrate his first FWF Hardcore Championship. The party wouldn't be long though, as an exhausted Hardcore Beary lost his new treasure to the same man who helped him win the title, Lazaro Gonzalez. Still, the win puts Hardcore Beary in an elite group of former Hardcore Champions.
