FWF Saturday Storm - June 24th, 2000
As Saturday Storm comes on the air, Hells Bells fires up, and The Ice steps through the curtain, holding a ladder and a title belt, but not the FWF Title. Ice says that last week on Storm, he was just about to beat Ted for the World Title, when Pirahna came out and interfered in the match. Ice then introduced Pirahna, who came out, and showed allegiance with The Ice! Pirahna started to say something, but then Ice told him to wait, and showed the title belt, the BWF Title, one of the titles Ice held in the past. This title shows that Ice is World Champion material, and then procedes to challenge McDougal to a Title Match at No Escape! Ted came out then, and stated that he has defeated Ice many times before, but he will accept the title, but it will be Ice's last shot. Ice then introduces the special stipulation for the match at No Escape: a Ladder Match! Ted then accepts the stipulation, and to prove himself, he leaves an open challenge for his belt, which Pirahna accepts, so it will be Ted McDougal vs. Pirahna for the FWF Title tonight. Ice says that is alright, because tonight, he is facing Lazaro Gonzalez for the Hardcore title. Two huge matches are set tonight on Storm!
After the announcement of Delinquent's car accident last week on Storm, Owner Mike Hawke has decided that the Intercontinental Title will be up for grabs in a four man, mini-tournament here on Storm!
FWF INTERCONTINENTAL TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS
Eddie McPhereson vs. Mr. Skeets
Eddie enters from the side of the arena with Po the Teletubbie. Skeets enters and the match is on. Eddie begins with several wimpy slaps, and Skeets comes back, taking him down with a spear, and remains on the offensive, at one point hitting Eddie so hard his pants fall down. Thank God for shorts under pants. Early in the match, Skeets hits the Cornelius Bob, a mandible claw variation! Eddie comes close to tapping, but since he was wearing a mask, he was safe. Eddie then wraps his arms around Skeets, flips him, and executes the Dead Fish for a two count. Skeets gets up, and accidentally nails the ref, and goes on the offensive. Eddie gets away, and runs far away, and goes for the 50 yard running clothesline! Skeets somehow ducks in time, and gets a second Cornelius Bob! McPhereson taps out to this one, and Mr. Skeets advances in the tournament! (2:43)
FWF INTERCONTINENTAL TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINALS
Sexy Bear vs. Nate Palm
Nate comes out and nails Sexy, who was still dancing, but Sexy reverses a move, and gets a two count. Palm gets up furious, and attacks the ref! Sexy trys to get Palm from behind, but Palm turns and hits a flying elbow, and throws Sexy all around the ring, just beating on Sexy. Then Palm once again, gets angry with the ref, and hits the Molotov Cocktail on the referee! Palm gets up then, and hits Sexy Bear with the Molotov Cocktail, but as soon as he does, Mr. Skeets, who would face the winner of this match, ran out and attacked Palm! The groggy referee called for the bell and Nate Palm wins by DQ. (2:06)
FWF HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ice vs. Lazaro Gonzalez(c)
The Ice, holding the BWF Title as he enters to a weapon filled ring, looking ready for the match. Then Lazaro enters, to face a man he has faced before, at Wrestlefest. These men are no strangers to each other. Ice starts out by going for a chokeslam right off the bat, but Lazaro cleverly reverses into an armbreaker. Ice gets back up though and nails Lazaro with a license plate hard in the head. Then with Lazaro down, Ice sets the license plate on Lazaro's chest, and drops an elbow right onto the license plate! Jo-Jo then runs out, and attacks The Ice!, but Ice quickly counters into the Ice Breaker on Jo-Jo, but while Ice's back is turned, Lazaro hits Ice in the back with a container top. Then seeing Jo-Jo down, Lazaro becomes furious over his fallen comrade, and attacks The Ice with repeated punches. Lazaro then goes for a gutwrench suplex, but Ice counters, by picking him up, and swinging him into a slam. Lazaro gets up, and runs for the tree to get away, like he did last week, but Ice catches him on top, and throws Lazaro down into another slam. Ice then picks up the container top, nails Lazaro with it, and spots the Hardcore Title. He picks it up, and hits Lazaro in the face with it. Ice then goes for a diving face smash with the belt, but Lazaro ducks, and Ice misses. Lazaro grabs the belt, and hits Ice with it, and hits an elbow drop. Lazaro grabs and raises the container top then, but accidentally hits himself with it! Ice grabs the top, and hits Lazaro with a brutal shot to the side of the head. Ice becomes distracted, and goes after the referee, but Lazaro comes and dropkicks The Ice. Lazaro grabs the top, and nails Ice, then goes for the cover, but Ice kicks out after two. As The Ice gets up, he grabs the kendo stick, and nails Lazaro with repeated shots to the head and back. But The Ice once again becomes distracted with the referee, and goes for the chokeslam, but Lazaro comes and hits Ice with the top. Lazaro once again goes to the license plate, and then hits Ice with the Hardcore title too. Ice gets up again, though, and nails Lazaro with a chair. He then calls for the end, and hits the Ice Breaker. But all of a sudden, Come Out and Play begins to sound over the sound system, and Ted McDougal comes out! Ice takes his attention away from Lazaro, and he runs away with the title! Ice chases after, but Lazaro gets away, retaining his title. (4:57)
FWF INTERCONTINENTAL TOURNAMENT FINALS
Mr. Skeets vs. Nate Palm
This match was one of the biggest matches in Storm history, which I will not even go into detail to try to describe. There were many great spots in this match, including Mr. Skeets jumping off the roof not once, but twice onto the prone Nate Palm! At the end of the match, the weary Mr. Skeets tryed to hit Palm with a chair, but with no strength left, he accidentally downed himself with the chair. Nate Palm crawled over to make the cover, and won the Intercontinental Championship! (14:50)
FWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Pirahna vs. Ted McDougal(c)
Ted enters first, looking primed and ready for the match. He announces that in this match, if The Ice interferes in the match, then he loses his title match at No Escape. Then, The Ice enters the arena, but tells Ted to relax, he's only here to view the match. Pirahna enters, and the title is on the line. Pirahna comes out and nails Ted with a clothesline, but Ted gets up, and hits a DDT, for a two-count. Pirahna gets up though, and rakes Ted in the eyes, and headbutts him. He whips Ted into the ropes, and goes for a clothesline, but Ted ducks, bounces off the other ropes, hits a shoulder block on Pirahna, and nails a bulldog, to be followed by... The Worm! But Ted couldn't get the worm part of it, and by then Pirahna is up, and kicks Ted while he is down. But as Pirahna pulls Ted up, Ted hits him in the groin, and locks in a half crab. Pirahna fights through it though, and makes it up. Pirahna whips Ted off the ropes, but Ted hits another shoulder block, and repeated splashes. Ted goes for the cover, but only gets a two-count. Then, Ted tries a Northern Lights Suplex, but Pirahna hits a DDT, and goes for a cover, but gets two. Pirahna then whips Ted right into the cameraman! Pirahna comes from behind and locks on a sleeper hold. Ted kicks Pirahna in the groin to escape though, and gets a knee lift. Pirahna manages to go for a DDT though, which is countered into the Walls of Jericho. Ted releases the hold quickly, and when Pirahna gets up, Ted hits the Bagpipes! Pirahna kicks out amazingly though! A frustrated Ted goes to ringside, throws The Ice out of the way, grabs a chair, and hits Pirahna with it, and gets DQ'd. Ice runs in, and is taken down with the chair. Ted continues to beat down on both of them, and as Storm goes off the air, Ted McDougal is left standing over his adversaries. (4:31)
