Ted McDougal Champion From June 16th, 2000 to July 14th, 2000 Won Title From: The Ice Successful Title Defenses: 3
Ted McDougal made history by becoming the first ever FWF World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion on June 16, 2000, by winning an eight man, single elimination tournament. On his path to becoming champion, Ted defeated FWF Owner Mike Hawke, Delinquent, and finally defeated The Ice to take home the crown (Click Here to view the complete tournament bracket). During his reign as champion, Ted defended the title several times, against Ice, Pirahna, and Hardcore Beary, losing only once, via disqualification, to Pirahna. After a heated feud with The Ice, Ted was then scheduled for a title defense against him at July's No Escape Pay-Per-View in a ladder match. But due to a mysterious no-show by The Ice, Pirahna ended up challenging and defeating the unprepared champion. Nevertheless, Ted's one month reign goes down as the first in the history of the title.
