Magnum's hotspot appears to be healed so he is back in the water.   Monica came over yesterday and she and Erica took Magnum for a walk.  On the way back home, he started whining.  He must be able to smell the lake.  The girls took him down and let him swim for a few minutes.  He came home and rested for a while and they took him back for another swim in the afternoon.  He isn't used to that much exercise yet and was a little limpy on the way home but he seems to work it out after a bit.

Today he went for a 10 - 15 minute swim and he did some wading, which is supposed to be good for building muscle too.  The wading was because he didn't want the kids to catch him and take his ball away.  :-)   Again, he was limping on the way home but seems to be o.k. now.  In the lake he would swim out and fetch his ball and then get a stick and come back with both.  It's pretty funny.  He also carries his ball home with him now.  We have taken the long line off him now while he is in the lake and let him swim loose.

It is going to take a long time to rebuild the muscle in that leg.  I think there is a little coming back but I can see it's going to be a long road.

We were just trying to come up with signs for walk, eat, swim and Magnum because he knows all the words.  I'm sure he'll figure out the signs eventually too.

Erica is taking him for a walk now.  It sure it nice to be able to get him out and about.  So much for the walk.  A car backfired right in front of our house and Magnum went a little nuts.  I think he may have thought it was a gun going off because he wanted to take off.  He knows gun sounds as he did do some hunting when he was young.  He pulled Erica down the ramp and didn't want to settle down.  We brought him in to let him settle down before taking him back out.

Thank you, Lord for Magnum's healing, the groups who funded him, the Dr. who donated his fee for him and the lake to take him swimming in.
