| Did I do the right thing? |
| I called tonight to see how Magnum was doing. She said he was doing fine. She had gone in earlier to give him something to eat and take him out but he seemed to be in pain so she gave him some more pain meds. When she went back to try again, he was sleeping. I'm wondering if I made the right decision. I so hate putting him through this ordeal. Yet, I know he would never heal without some kind of surgery. Does the previous surgery have anything to do with the amount of pain he is in now? I don't know. He may come home tomorrow. I suppose it will depend on how much pain he is in and whether or not he is able to get up and go potty. I know we had to do something. His leg had no muscle left at all in it. I just hate to see him in pain. He's such a sweet dog. I'll call in the morning to see how he's doing before I go for my shift at the Y. The good thing about having this done on Easter weekend is that we are so busy I don't have a lot of time to worry. Thank you, Jesus, for watching over Magnum during surgery and bringing him through this so far. Please continue to watch over him and help him to begin to heal. |
