    Sir Ian Mckellen

BIOGRAPHY:

Mckellen started his acting career in a successful career in a production of "A man for all seasons" after studying at Cambridge University. This was the beginning of a stage career during which Mckellen gave such memorable performances in many Shakespeare plays and compelling dramas such as  "Bent" and "Amadeus". His first film role was in 1966 in the unfinished picture "The bells of Hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling".
When he plays the role of Gandalf the Grey in the Lord of the Rings, Mckellen spends a lot of time in make up having beards, wigs and false nose's fitted, the life of celebrities!
