Fröbel - Froebel family around the world

This page was inspired by the work of Winfried Müller, whose excellent site in German about Friedrich Wilhelm Fröbel, founder of the kindergarten includes a Fröbel genealogy.

The contribution of Friedrich Wilhelm Fröbel to education is commemorated around the world - Froebel College in London, Froebel College in Dublin, Pestalozzi Fröbel Haus in Berlin, the Fredrico Froebel School in Bolivia, Froebel House School de Tafira Alta, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Escola Evangélica Friederic Froebel and Froebel House Preparatory School Hull, England.

The Froebel blocks had an important influence on Frank Lloyd Wright.

The winning design for Canberra by Walter Griffin, reflects the same approach to nature and space. Canberra today has grown to become a modern, thriving city.

The Froebel Gallery endeavors to bring a selection of the best in fine art the world has to offer to Albany, the Capital District of New York and its national and international patrons. Following the philosophy of its ancestor, Friedrich Froebel, who professed the positive nature of diversity, it presents fine art in a variety of styles and media. The Froebel Gallery continues a tradition of more than 200 years of promoting the humanities, the arts, and education.

Friedrich Fröbel Framework explores the life and ideas of the creator of Kindergarten.

Froebel Web is the leading English language online resource and includes a biographical time line, online forum and many links.
